My friend received this poor condition 1-slot in the mail today,and we are wondering if it is real or fake,as I have never seen this type of revision before. We have not tested it yet,hope to do so soon when he brings it over. If any o fyou have any info on this ugly thing,please share and thanks!

Nah, Some are socketed...

MVSes only have one socketed.

I will have to ask him where he got it. It looks totally fake to me. I will mess with it tonite when he gets here and update this thread with more info.

It was in poor quality,but worked. Old games work fine,however my KOF 2k3 cart does not work on it,as all it does is display some pixels and no audio. Over all its junk.

I did not buy it,and it came from Run4Border. The thing had a big crack on its flimsy black plastic,a broken pcb foot,and the amp heat sink or whatever was very loose and had to be screwed back on tight. I cant believe a guy would send someone something like this. I have friends who have purchased from Bill Burger from ebay and he has treated them extremely well,so no I don't think he would ever send a piece of junk like this to someone.

Hey Guys just got back into NG and I just bought a 1 slot from Run4border too. I'm planing on building a supergun. The board should be here tomarrow. I can post pics of mine when It gets here.
I noticed this guy was selling a bunch of 1 slots on ebay and It seemed a little weird. I hope mine is legit.

I bought a 1-slot from him as well. I think it was a 1fz though, so I'm not too worried about it. (should be here soon)

If I were your friend, I'd get in touch with run4border and see if he'll offer an exchange for that piece of shit.

I also received the 1 slot motherboard from Run4Border yesterday. It looks exactly the same as the pictures posted. No SNK logos, no serial number, no model number, and it isn't labeled made in Japan either. The one he sent me has serious sound issues which produces garbled static. I guess not all of them work alright.

He said he'll try to remedy the situation, so I'm sending it back. I requested that he replace it with a genuine SNK board, hopefully he'll made good on it.

The thing did not even work at first so we ran it over to my friend Michael Helgesons house and he resocketed all the socket chips,cleaned the cart port,and tightened down the heat sink. After that it worked well,other then not wanting to run KOF 2003. Overall it is a huge piece of junk. Def not worth the price Run4Border was selling it for. My friend is returning his asap.

i got one of these too, thinking it was an MV1-FZ :( To consolize. Seems okay...some sound issues, but I cleaned the cart slot and it worked fine. Where the hell is the BIOS on it? I may try and keep it.

I thought the larger socketed Toshiba chip was the bios. Maybe I am wrong???

I looked at the auction description on these,and they were not described correctly,as they all seemed to have issues of sorts,from audio to physical damage to plain not working after reading your other complaints on here from you other guys. He should be giving serious discounts on these,doing partial refunds and letting them keep the item,or replacing with a REAL MVS,or doing a full refund for returned item.

These options would all comply with paypal if someone paid by that method for one of these junk MVS units and wanted to file a claim or dispute,as this sellers as-is policy is bust and wont hold up with ebay and paypal since the item is not a real MVS and has damage,sound issues,ect not described in the auction details. Run4Border,if you ever read this,you fucking suck.

Wow, this isn't good. I really hope I'm getting a legit. board.

Run4border has always seemed like a nice guy though, so hopefully he'll exchange it if I get one of these shit boards...
