I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where you could ask the value of a certain PCB you own, if you're unsure what to ask for it.

------

I have a Street Fighter III: New Generation board with a brand new battery installed in the cart. It would come complete with the mobo/cd rom drive/cd/cart/and cables.

How much would you say it's worth?

pricing for US cps3 is something like this (cart and cd only)

NG...75-100 Max
2i...125-175 Max
3s...300-450 MAx

add 100 for mobo and ram, and more for art, manuals etc

If the new generation is complete with motherboard, simms, cd drive and original cd, your set is worth $125-$175, the prices THCHardcore gave are good for cartridge/cd combos, but the motherboards add some value to the sets.

Also, its safe to say that double impact demands a $200-$250 price tag. I had a couple on ebay not too long ago, and both sold instantly with buy it now for $250.

I took that into account when I gave you a price quote.

Having a new battery doesn't really guarantee anything.
CPS-3 will committ suicide new battery or not.

thats true, but if you dont have a new battery replaced you are guaranteed that it will suicide. Lesser of two I suppose and a small cost to have some piece of mind at least beyond the rather simple and common sense upkeep of one. Ive lost a third strike cart and it stunk real bad and when I had gotten a new one, everytime I went to turn the machine on I had that awful sinking feeling in my gut that I would be greeted by the black shadow. After a fresh battery though, no worries.

My bad though, this is entirely the wrong thread for an already rather exhausted subject.

CPS3 will only commit suicide if you mishandle the cartridge. Having a new battery DOES guarantee that it won't kill itself (granted you don't drop the cartridge, plug it in or remove it when its running, get it wet, etc etc).

How about -

Strikers 1945 III
Street Fighter EX 2

I bought a cabinet with Strikers 1945 III in it about a month ago, it was still on location and the seller says it'll earn about $100.00 a week.

Wow either the seller is BSing you, or he's got a stellar arcade that is packed day and night.

Strikers 1999/1945 3: $150-$180
Street Fighter EX 2: $220-$300++ (i've seen this one go for stupid $$)

I've had such bad luck with CPS-3 stuff that I'm starting to believe that
if you look at the cart for a long amount of time it might decide to die. It's
such a weird harware, you just don't know when. My experience so far has
been a lot different than yours.

Yah sounds like you've had bad experiences in the past. I've owned multiple copies of every game the system has to offer, and I'm yet to have one that I installed a new battery into die. The only time I've seen them suicide is when they're improperly packed during shipping.

Yeah I have only had some mild cps3 experiece, owning second impact, but didnt seem that fragile, to me. When I ship a cps3 cart I simply place it in anti-static bag, and then wrap it in anti-static bubble wrap.

I will have way more cps3 experience soon, when Red earth, and Third Strike get here though.:) :) :)

What would the going rate on a dead CPS3 set be? (new generations, for example)

The CD is original, the cart is just dead. I also have a marquee and 2 moves stickers for it. (no motherboard, cd drive, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

How about a Ketsui PCB? I have one I am contemplating selling in the near future. Last I saw, $750ish was the going rate...

damn, i'd love to buy that from you in the near future. I just need to get my funds up. Coinopexpress has them listed at $740 so your estimate sounds about right to me.

Since I'm posting in this thread now, does anyone here want to estimate the going rate of a Fever S.O.S. pcb? The last few I've seen on the board have been around $200ish, but they were a while back. I'm just curious though, probably won't be selling it soon.

$200 is pretty spot-on. $180-$210 would be the range I'm guessing.

I have a SideArms set of stuff that I tore out of a cab that I had to take out and shoot when I was done it was soo beat up. I have been thinking of selling the salvagable parts but dont know what its worth yet. Here is the list and pics:

PCB - Great shape...looks almost new and works flawlessly
Marquee - has some scratching from cab behind mounts so you cant see in use
Monitor surround - some wear on edges, a few creases, and wavy on top
Power sticker - tear by 5th upgrade, never been stuck to anything
Manual - decent condition, original
Schematics - not pictured...computer printout...nothing special

I would guess somewhere in the $60 - $90 range for everything.

A clean board usually goes in the $20 - $50 range. Marquee and monitor surround, $10 - $15 a piece. Manual with schematics, $10 - $15. Not sure about the sticker, but probably in the $10 - $15 range as well.

What should I expect to pay for Sexy Parodius? I don't see them for sale often and don't know what to expect when I do. Thanks.
