Hi

Does anyone know of a effective way to remove the residue left over from that heavy dutch tape that operators used to hold cps 2 boards together

I've used these to get tape gunk off of cabs:

There is a sticker remover specifically made for automobiles that will remove residue 10x better than anything I've ever tried. I can't think of the name off the top of my head, but I'll go look for it in a moment.

EDIT: Nevermind, it is a specialty from honda motorsports apparently. I used to get free stuff from them all the time because I worked at a dealer last summer. Obviously not something you can just run out and get. Sorry...

To mainman: how large is your CPS2 collection now? I remember last time you posted it, I was amazed. (I think you had almost everything)

As long as it's not too old and dried (we're talking years here) I use heptane. It's used medically for removing glue from skin left over from band aid and stuff like that. Should be available either at a drug store or some kind of hardware store selling stuff for removing paint. A hardware store probably has the same heptane as the drug store has but in a bigger bottle at half the price because the sticker doesn't say "for medical use".

Lighter fluid and butter knife. Use the lighter fluid to make the glue "gummy" and the knife to lightly scrape it off. It works like a charm, I've even swapped CPS2 labels using light fluid.

My bad... I was talking bout the Oarnge Goo Gone...

I used it for a rather nasty sticker on a CATW.
