Gday,
just wondering how many copies of Judgement Silversword for the worderswan were ever released? I heard that it was 500, however play-asia has it for sale http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-6q-49-en-70-1of5.html
is this a misprint on their part or was it re-released?

cheers

It's a reprint. It says so on the page you linked to. Look at the top of the section titled "Product Info".

ok cool, cheers for that. Thats what i thought to, someone i am talking about buying a copy off thought that Play-Asia must have made a mistake, so was just posting here to confirm weather or not this was the case lol.

I have a WSC and own zero games. Been looking foward to getting this game for a while, but at $99 its getting damn close for a purchase. Would it be ridiculous to buy this version?

definitely not ridiculous if you want it...that's below the typical after-market going rate.

what sucks is that this would have been part of play-asia's 15% off sale that ended a few days ago.

great price. i doubt it'll be found for any less. only difference is this reprint probably has no lanyard.

one thing i'd recommend though- if you do get jss, a swancrystal is a must. most games are very playable on wsc, but getting blasted on by unseen bullets is just no fun.

Does the game have long levels? The reason I ask this is because the youtube video I saw (from another thread about judgement silversword) made me think it consisted of short levels and focused on boss battles. I mean, at the pace the guy in the video was playing, the game must only last like 10 minutes. Say it aint so!

I think the levels are broken down to small increments.

The game isn't all that short...well,atleast that's my impression.

looks like [e]mulator will have to do for now..

:emb:

Whoah... I just tried [e]mulator for Judgment Silver Sword and it's really good. But I'm happy to just try it out on the PSP.

Since I see you bought the original - is it much different than on [e]mulator?

The differences between emu vs. original are quite marginal,I'd say.

First off,the framerate on [e] was too damn choppy. I mean, you can probably get by the first few levels, but it becomes a pain once the enemies/bullet patterns become more and more intricate later on in the game. However, you can ramp up the framerate a bit by turning off the sound, but that's pretty much a no-no for me, since sound plays a major role in the overall experience. I also noticed that there were pockets of flicker and slowdown that does not exist in the original copy of the game.
