NGPC: MS 1st Mission Region ID Help

I just got a new MS 1st case variation and am trying to place the region/printing. I've had #1 and #2 and have ID'd them as being UK and Eur releases respectively. The third looks to be a UK variation as the manuals are identical and they share similar back cover artwork.

All three are NEOP0021 but another strange variation occurs with the meg count on the front cover. #1 (UK) has a white filled in "16 megs" box while both #2 and #3 have a black filled in box.



Is this just a first/second print of the UK game?

I dunno but will soon, I ordered an american version of MS1 from neostore and also have a Japanese version of both 1 and 2 coming as well.

I imagine this the "Asian" version sold out of Hong Kong etc. You will find that there have been several 2 and 3 release back cover variations

There maybe some of the 2 cover releases that have a third, but not seeing them, I cannot confirm this.

This is definately the Hong Kong English version. If I remember right, most of the later 'English' releases like Faselei!, Evolution, Cool Boarders, and Pocket Reversi were actually Hong Kong releases.

Also as a note, Puzzle Bobble Mini saw a hard case US version released under the name Bust a Move. It had an ESRB rating on it and everything.

Awesome, thanks for the info. It's the first time I've come across a non-US/JPN hardcase variation with three covers. Will mark it down as the Asian release.
