Is this out in the U.S.? Has anyone gotten their hands on it?
I'm curious how it is (I don't know how they can mess it up) and how the touch screen functions with the games.

Yes...It came out about a week ago, I just sold mine on Ebay. It is not a bad game as there are 15 different arcade games on it. You can also adjust how many guys you start with and the difficulty level. There is also single card, multi-player which is a nice bonus as well. It saves high scores via initials which is nice for this type of game.

Track & Field, Contra, Rush n Attack and Gradius were probably my favorite games on the card. There were two to three other pretty good games and then there were some turds.

The games play well but looks like the arcade, so when it is on a small screen, it isn't all that clear. (Depends on the game though)

I almost kept it just for Track & Field but couldn't really justify it just for that game.

Yes. The bottom screen shows some pretty cool pictures, like what you would see on an arcade machine on how to play the game. The bottome screen is also where you put credits in and select lives/difficulty.

It is not a bad game, I just got bored with it really quickly.

I thought about listing it here but figured anyone that wanted it, probably already had it.

For what ever reason, Toys R Us had it in a week prior to EB/GameStop and it is only 29.99. Like I said, it was fun, I just got bored with it pretty quickly.

Fucker, I would've bought it. Didn't have time last week to go out.

Anyways, the only redemption this collection has is arcade Gradius and Contra...dunno if you guys have noticed, but Konami's put out basically the same damn collection on the GBA and PS1. It's not as annoying as Namco and their lame ass Volumes, but still -- it's time to start putting out the really great arcade stuff, not these ancient games...

I am literally buying this collection only for Contra and Gradius. I hope this shit fails so hard so it drops in price and maybe Konami will realize they need to stop putting the same old shit on their collections.

I actually bought it for Track & Field and it worked very well on the DS. Contra and Gradius (and even Rush N Attack) were all very good as well.

Rainbowbell wasn't bad but a much slower game than I remembered. The rest of the games were pretty much filler IMO.

Yie Ar Kung-Fu is a great port... sound is spot-on from what I can tell and it moves like the original. I remember the GBA port of Konami Classics for this game not being as accurate, and the arranged "versus" version was pretty unbalanced (it also wasn't a 1-player game in the arranged version).

Overall, I like this compilation. I love Shaolin's Road (aka Kicker), which I heard was the unofficial sequel to Yie Ar. Also, it's great to play Pooyan oddly enough... my sister had the LCD game a long time ago and I loved it to death. Rush'n Attack, Contra, Track & Field and Gradius are also nice additions. If it were me, though... I would have had games like Jackal or Super C or Double Dribble instead of Basketball or Scramble or Road Fighter.

I heard Namco is making yet another Namco Museum for DS... I just hope they have the arranged arcade versions of Pac-Man, Dig Dug, etc. I wouldn't mind seeing those iterations once again as long as they're done right and in TATE form. If you can't do emulate games from 20 years ago on a DS perfectly, something is wrong with your company.

If this had Jackal, Super C or Double Dribble, I probably would have kept it. Jackal was one of my favorite NES games. Of course after everyone has posted that they are interested in the game, I am now starting to wonder if I should have kept it.:tickled:

I post about DS games all the time that nobody gives a shit about and the one time I get rid of a game, people love it.:oh_no:

I've been waiting on it to play some pooyan, circus charlie, contra, and best of all track and field on the go (it's the only game my father would play with me growing up) it does seem like a decent collection I think basketball is terrible and agree that double dribble would have been better. I wish hypersports was on this too. How does the stylus interact on track and field, or is button mashing?

All of the games use the buttons. The stylus is used on the bottom screen to select difficulty, lives ect.

The buttons are very responsive for all of the games. Track & Field is button mashing but it works great. It was probably my favorite game as it was fun to go for high scores and to see how many events I could compete in.

I couldn't get past high jump but it was still a lot of fun.

Thanks again, the high jump took me awhile to figure out on the NES.

From what I remember...

100 yard dash
Long Jump
Javelin
Hurdles
I don't remember the name, swing ball around and throw?
High Jump

You can select one or two lives in this game. I finally bumped it to two because I got tired of losing at the hurdles. I never did clear the time but with the extra life, I was able to move past them.

High Jump was a bitch but I know it was just a matter of figuring out when to jump and at what angle.

Hammer Throw, is skeet shooting included?

I don't remember the arcade at the moment but the nes didn't have the hammer throw and was this

100 yard dash
long jump
hurdles
javelin
skeet shooting
triple jump
archery
high jump

Hammer Throw...I can't believe I forgot the name. I ripped a pretty good throw to qualify before ripping a couple into the cage.:tickled:

Sorry but I can't say what is after the High Jump since I failed to qualify. It is the arcade version though, so whatever was there, I am guessing is in this game. Damn...I am starting to want my copy back.

High Jump is the last event. After that it goes back to 100M dash, but of course it's gets harder to qualify on everything on the second loop.

by the way, the High Jump is easier if you mash the run buttons after you've already done the jump.
