This is a very fun game if you are not bothered by kiddie looking games. If you are, you need to stay away from this game.

It has a look similar to Yoshi's Story on the N64. It looks really good and plays great. It is a game made up of a bunch of mini games (which are very good) that work you through a story. Movement around the world can be done via the d pad or the stylus. The mini games are stylus controlled.

You can save at any point, which makes it an easy pick up and play game. There are also multiple levels for each mini game. You can go for high scores as well. There are two save slots, so two different people can play the game.

There is single card multi-player play for up to four players and there is Wi-Fi as well. I have not tried either of those yet. You also collect cards as you beat certain games, you also find them hidden throughout the land. The cards are used to battle.

Over all this is a quality game if you can get past the kiddie look of it. IGN gave it a nice score but that is the only review I have seen so far.

This looks pretty good actually. I'll probably pick it up when I find a used copy.

So is it a card battle game? Or a mini game collection?

I'll put it on my Q. Curious about the online play.

It is an adventure game where you enter different books. The movement around the game world is just like a Zelda or other action/adventure game. The mini games come about (most of them) once you enter a book. You then win cards depending on how well you did on the mini game.

This is not like a Wario Ware, it is an action adventure game.

How does it compare to Rocket Slime?

Well, I like both games but I like FFF Chocobo Tales better.

Other than my personal opionion, I am not sure that I can really compare the two. I just really like the way Chocobo Tales plays. I am still pretty early on but the battles consist of racing to the top of a mountain ect. instead of fighting like in Rocket Slime. The mini games are a nice addition to an already pretty solid game. The one down side is the kiddie look but the game looks really good. Great music as well.

I am hoping to try the multi-player (local and Wi-Fi) this weekend. I have read that it is pretty fun, so that will just be another bonus to this game.

I really liked Rocket Slime, but the card aspect of this game really intrigues me in an unashamedly nerdy kind of way. Sounds like pretty cool things to earn from mini games. I certainly don't mind kiddie themes as RS was dripping with it as well. Paper Mario comes out next week too!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...too many games!

I agree, there are a lot of quality games out there right now, especially if you have more than one system. (Like most of us do) Of course there will be some dry spells coming up, so that will provide a chance to catch up on playing.

The card collection is a huge part of the game, as you find some laying around and others you only get by beating a certain time in a mini game. It is a good thing that the mini games are fun. I have played one mini game probably twenty times trying to get a good enough time to get the last card.

I have read about people card battling on Wi-Fi, so I will have to find out more about that this weekend. I really don't think you can go wrong with this game. I would suggest checking out some videos of it on YouTube, that is what sold me on the game.
