Hello all, my mvs turns green and resets. I've tried changing voltage and cleaning carts/board..but still happens. Not all the time, but it still happens. I was thinking of buying a new power supply, but wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions before i do thanks....

Check your hard dips, make sure they're all up.

Anyone have any advice on cleaning the cartridge slots on an MVS?

They used to have those devices that you could stick in a genesis or whatever, but I don't know if they would be useful for an MVS, or where I could even find one.

Would fine grit do the trick, or is that asking for trouble?

Check the jamma/mvs edge connect and socket, the four 5 volt connections can become toasty (these boards draw fairly high current and heat is dissipated in the contacts) and lead to less than perfect contact, you may get intermittent connection or voltage drop there. Measure the 5 volts on the board and set it a wisker over, say 5.1 volts

FalcomAdol, check out HardMVS

one of mine has the same issue but it changes depending which games are in...sometimes I have to watch the green screen 3 times before the neo screen comes up...sometimes only once. With the games it has now it's 3 times every boot up.

Monitor the 5 volts on the board, see if it dips prior to the reset.
Maybe the psu has poor regulation.

This could be game dependant.
