Hey, I am looking for a neo geo AES. It can be US or JP...doesnt matter to me. All I ask is that it come with 1 old style neo geo stick, power cord, and AV cables, and has an intact serial number.

I would be happy to buy/trade for this. I am not looking to pay alot so I dont need one that is modded or anything. Just the basic set up is fine. Games could come with it...that'd be a plus.

Alright, let me know guys!

Thanks

*edit*

I am getting a mvs cab so I no longer need an AES. Thanks to all for your help with this.

ki_atsushi-I am sure it is...but I cant afford anythin like that now. If I were to go that far I would just get a CMVS. I am looking for an AES as a cheaper console choice for the moment. So basically I am looking to pay a bit less than a CMVS would cost since this is the alternative I am choosing. Maybe if I ever really get into AES...I would consider having my console all modded up but until then...the basic set up is best for me.

You would be way better off with a cmvs. I can't afford aes is why i'm selling my modded aes console. The only games i had were pretty lame, cept for samurai shodown. It wasn't until i got an mvs to aes converter and bought mvs games did i start enjoying the neo. But then some games had scaling issues so i ended up going with a cmvs and have never been happier. Now i have a pretty decent collection of games and i can see myself enjoying the neo for many generations to come. But take my advice and get a cmvs and a mas joystick, you won't regret it.

What sort of trades were you considering?

MVS carts by chance?

68k-I do not have any MVS things. I wish I did..haha. Umm, as far as trades go all I really have I could give towards it would be what I have on ebay at this givin time...a modded region free gamecube bundle with GBA player and a mix of US and JP games, .hack//G.U Special Edition Pack, bricked PSP, and as far as non ebay stuff goes.... some strategy guides, a modded PS1 with some JP and US games, a US Dreamcast system, Possibly a Japanese Sakura Wars Limited Edition Dreamcast system complete, import Ps2 games, and Breath of Fire III PAL for PSP. That is all I can think of at this time.

dude if money is tight you should seriously not buy an AES.

as others have said CMVS is a lot cooler. Sure, there are some really good common games for AES that are cheap (SamSho2, FF special), but many of the best, most classic games, are also the most expensive and elusive.

Case in point: any metal slug game for AES. You can get away with having the entire collection of metal slug games on MVS for a TINY FRACTION of the same collection on AES. If you are collector minded, you can always try to hunt down kits. It's also fun to try and piece together kits if that's your kind of thing.

I love my AES but it collects dust compared to my MVS.

Also, if you are on a budget and are technically savvy you can roll your own CMVS, even down to building your own video encoder if you know where to look for the parts. You can get an MVS board for 100 bucks or less and spend maybe 50 dollars on everything else you need (except controllers and games) and you're in business.

Or, better yet, get a JAMMA harness and make your own supergun, then you can pick up cheap JAMMA boards too and relive the sweet memories of youth :)

I did not get a cab..I chose a Consolized Neo Geo MVS instead since it saves alot of space. I'll definitally get a cab in th future but the CMVS is just perfect for me right now and it does the same things a cab would. :)
