Buy it now auction... paid the same day...

Haven't received ANY communications from this person. Not a "thank you", not a response to my inquiries, not even a tracking number.

I just filed with PayPal for a refund.

I'm hoping that they are just out of town or something stupid like that since they have a lot of feedback. It's irritating dealing with people that have piss-poor communications skills.

Julius? Really? He was my main man back when I had my DDR arcade machine in public operation. Sometimes he just wouldn't respond to an email. I think his spam filter or something like that was bumped up real high. Either that or you filtered him out. He's pretty funny; TALKS IN ALL CAPS LIKE THIS.

Yeah, I dunno. I'd try him again. I've bought a lot of stuff from him and never had a problem. He's really a cool guy. Found all sorts of junk for me = )

EDIT: also, look at his feedback. Almost 3000 sells and none are negative. ^_~

I did look at his feedback... you must not have read that part in my first post ;)

I can only go by how he's treating me on this auction. No comunications or anything from him. Crazy way to do business.

I'll report back when I find out something or when the deal finishes, right now I'm just saying: I paid the guy and received nothing... no gear, no communications, etc... and that I filed with PayPal due to the lack of communications and the receipt of nothing.

YAY!

He responded to the PayPal notice with shipping info. It's in route via UPS.

All's good so far.

YAY!

Package is here... but it was poorly packed - 4 of the mounting feet were broken and it was packed with standard (NOT anti-static) bubble wrap... and not in an anti-static bag. :very_ang:

I have mixed feelings about the deal since there was ZERO communication from the seller. Not even after filing with PayPal... The only response was one through PayPal. :shame:

I've dealt with him before. I bought a 3rd Strike PCB on eBay from him, it was advertised as USA but it turned out to be ASIA. We agreed that he'd just refund me $65.

What really annoyed me though is that the package was sitting at the UPS depot for 2 weeks (and I didn't know about it) and couldn't be delivered because my phone number was needed. It could've been avoided if only he would've given out the tracking number to me once he had it. Is it just me or are eBay sellers getting really lazy these days.

I bought a cabinet from Julius once, it took him well over a month to ship it out. Every week I would email him and he would say something like "ITS GOING OUT ON THURSDAY," or "IT WILL BE PICKED UP ON MONDAY." When it finally arrived it was in signifigantly different condition than the one pictured in the auction. In the end, I got my money's worth, but at the time I was NOT happy about the transaction.

I would recommend using caution when dealing with Julius. After my experience, I know that I will never buy from him again unless I deal with him in person.

I also know he sells Neo Geo bootlegs on ebay.

I almost bought a Matrimelee MVS cart from him today since his price is so low. But when reading his feedback (which is pretty good) I noticed he had recently received a negative for selling a non working Matrimelee.

I am guessing he is selling the same cart again because he claimed the cart worked. However, the person that left the negative, returned the non working Matrimelee cart and then paid twice as much for one over a week later. So, I tend to believe that there was something wrong with the cart.

So...that was enough for me to pass on that cart.

he gave me an extremly bad attitude on the phone. he cares about his feedback though and he also cares about his paypal account. i was able to use that as leverage.

Oh good God, folks, Julius is a scam artist, pure and simple.

If it's not a boot, he won't sell it.

I have bought a lot of MVS stuff off Ebay over the years but I have actually never seen one of his auctions until I was looking for a Matrimelee. Sounds like it is a good thing I avoided him.

I have bought from Julius many times, the only boot I ever bought from him was SDB and he even told me it was a boot before hand.

If you ask him if its a boot he will tell you straight up. I have bought around 6 carts from him and all were legit with the exception SDB which I wanted anyway even though it was a boot.

Plus he happily takes retuns and expresses the warranty in his listings as well.

Same here! I bought SDB, and a few other items, he told me about SDB's bootleg situation, and I knew before hand, because of the price and the not original part of the description.

He's a good guy, he's just doing this on his own, and as a part time, thus he might take a bit longer on the shipping, other than that, you get what you paid for, is that simple.

Well,

I paid him for a broken 4 slot board... and that's what I got.

My problem was the horrid lack of communication which led me to believe I wasn't getting what I paid for... and the horrible packing job he did on the board.

Luckily only the feet were broken. The board arrived intact and has already been fixed.

I bought 2 CPS2 games from him off ebay and one of the A boards was broken :( Took a few emails to nudge him and a couple weeks but he did come through with sending a replacement- no questions asked. So I say he's a good guy, probably just really busy and overwhelmed with work :(

If we are talking about Mexico again...I turned my back long ago on this dude. I wouldn't buy his bag of boots. That's my opinion! :oh_no:
