What is the best soccer game you have played for MVS and why?

My favorite is Goal Goal Goal
Great graphics,fast paced,Loads of fun and Rare as hell!

My favorite is Super Sidekickers 3 & 4 For his good sounds and beautiful graphics

Super Sidekicks 2. Simple but great. Cool atmosphere, ok gfx and good sfx and price is really low.

Ultimate 11 for most country choices, 3D rotation graphics, victory poses after goal, largest characters drawn on Neo-Geo soccer game. The roms on emulator is ruined (background is not done properly), the best way to play is with home cart or MVS.

sidekicks 4 is the posh flash one

nothing wrong in that


but soccer brawl and sidekicks 1 are still the best when it comes to gameplay

and they're FUN

sidekicks 4 is not

Yup...SSK1+2 are easy to play and so they're more fun than the 4th part.

SSK4 is a great game with great gfx and so on, but its just too realistic to be real fun.
SSK4 provides a greater challange and deeper gameplay than SSK1+2, but that's exactly why I prefer the first two parts <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

The first Soccer game I played was Ultimate 11 SS4. Should I look for the other 3? I have Goal!goal!Goal! and it's pretty fun too. So is SS2 or 1 worth looking for if I already have SS4? Just wondering....thanks..

While we´re at it, my most favourite soccer game of all times is MicroProse Soccer on Amiga. Cool birdseye´s view, fast paced, not too difficult, highly addictive, the perfect mixture of elements of the Kick Off series and Resident Ev..um, Super Sidekicks!

I have played Super Sidekick 1 when i was a kid (10 jears old) and 10 jears later(i m 20 <IMG SRC="smilies/smirk.gif" border="0"> ) i can tell you THE BEST SOCER GAME EVER IS SUPER SIDEKICK 1!!!

Fustal sucks IMO, control is way to hard, not very fun to play.

Ultimate 11 is the god of 2D soccer games...

Virtua Striker 3 is the god of 3D soccer...

International Superstar Soccer Deluxe on the SNES.

It's the best 2D soccer game ever.

On the neo, I'd like to say SSK4, but as your progress through a championship you see how flawed the game is. They can only beat you by making you slow and the computer ridiculously fast. Like how SF2 was difficult in making you weak and the opponent strong - instead of smarter.

I agree. Konami makes a damn good soccer game!

but someone mentioned it on the boards before, and it's very true, that there's Soccer games made for home consoles and soccer games made for the arcade. Comparing them in terms of gameplay cannot really be done. Arcade soccer games are meant to be fast and furious, while the home console games can be more thorough.

Yeap Soccer Brawl and Super Sidekicks are both fantastic but i have had Goal x3 on Neorage for a while and i love it

So much so that i recently bought a complete kit from Robi15

So Goal x3 is my favourite right now

It has frantic gameplay and they different way you can score goals is great, but....... the graphics are a bit of a let down

But - graphics are not everything :) :)

Umm winning Eleven is not arcade. I was under the impression this was the best arcade soccer game.

Either way Virtua Striker 3 still owns winning eleven.
