Hey whats up. I'm looking for a Dungeons & Dragons Shadow over Mystara B-board, blue or green - no creases or peeling of the label, and it doesn't have to be phoenixed. As a matter of fact, if you've got a dead one, I'll even take that.
(edit): Also looking for a green Progear with a good label.

still no luck scott, I think its coming to the point where no one will aimlessly part with this game. Even a dead one will cost you as much as another working cps 2 board. I didn't what to get your hopes up but I can look through the rest of my stuff and see if I got another, I didn't offer because I can not guarantee the sticker.

What's the going rate for a one of these in USA blue board? I think I saw one at my local arcade distributors place but didn't pay much attention to it since I'm really only into fighting games. I cant remember if it was Tower of Doom or Shadow over Mystara.

Well, if its Tower of Doom, I'd say around $120. You can find one on ebay any day of the week. SoM is a different story. I saw a Shadow over Mystara go for $160 (BIN) on ebay last week, though I've definitely seen some go for more. I used to have a nice green phoenixed copy, but like a dope, I sold it. Mainman would be a better person to ask about prices for CPS-2 stuff. He always has tons of stuff.

Well that is a grey board so it actually looses a little value dispite the game is in english.

Here are my boards and both are phoenixed, I think I can get at least $190 for TOD and $260 for SOM

Well I went by my local arcade distributor's place today and picked them both up. At first he showed me Tower of Doom which kinda let me down but then he pulled out Shadow over Mystara. :glee:

I changed the batteries on them once I got home (using the helper battery method). They were still running on their original Maxell batteries.

Now I'm off to go play them and see what the hype is about!!

Mainman - too bad your marquees are cut :( I've only seen uncut ones for the D&D games once (one for TOD and one for SOM).

By the way, Bill Burger had a blue one for $125 last week. I didn't buy it, but I tipped off my friend cuz I knew he was in the market.

Its pretty pointless to own them both (from a playability perspective), since SOM borrows a TON of sprites from TOD. SOM is essentially a 1.5 rather than an entire sequel.

I have uncut one, their just buried so I didn't drag them out. I also have another cut SOM AND TOD marquee.

You absolutey can not say you collect cps 2 unless you buy these two boards, and I admit SOM is far surperior to TOD. SOM is a entirely different game from TOD

Well I just finished playing through both games back to back. ToD was good but SoM was pretty amazing. That spiralling staircase level was nice. I can see why the game is sought after.

pretty much arcade perfect.

Yeah I have the Saturn version. If it wasn't for the loading in Shadows, it'd be perfect. I'm somewhat of a collector anyways so I have to have the CPS-2 version. :help:
