Hi,I am the seller of the supergun listed here on this thread. In reference to the original buyer for this item:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260083286655&ssPageName=STRK:MEUS:IT&ih=016
This item was purchased outside of ebay by Extreme Enterprises, Inc. @
http://www.diaperco.com. A side business that sells diapers???? The item was purchased outside of ebay because they did not want the arcade stick included and wanted me to pull the auction early.
I do not remember who all I made aware of this, because I got asked alot of questions about the MVS,but I informed quite abit of people that I did infact not do the work on it myself. The item was as pictured in the auction so if the buyer was displeased with the look he should not have made the purchase to begin with, but none the less could have contacted me for a refund if he was unhappy with it when it arrived minus shipping cost.
I did not do the consolization of the unit. Actually I am very against consolizations of MVS systems, and people who know me for my posting on pcenginefx know this about me. This is why I build Superguns.
However,I did tell the person where to solder what and where to get a cheap s-video encoder. I agree, the paint job was not good. Originally that 2 slot did not even have the steel casing,as it was purchased from me seperate. It could have been much better, esp in the front. I did the original 3 layers for the guy,but he wanted it deeper and glossier and added more layers till it dripped and looked ugly.
I also think the sticker was in bad taste, but it was not my decision,as the item belonged to someone else. He actually did two units, and that was his first one. His second was much better and he got more for it from a local buyer because he did a much cleaner job solder and paint wise. However,he still insisted on not using a panel mount s-video and composite jack which is too bad,as I offered to pick him up some from Parts Express.
The one listed on ebay that was sold was his unit he used for traveling to friends house and testing MVS carts before purchases and trades. His nicer unit he kept for home. In the end though he had me sell them both for him along with his jamma test rig supergun because he got a MVS cabinet.
Also, the person who bought the item listed above,he needs to maybe in the future try not passing off his home address as a business address on paypal. My shipper got a charge back for a extra 6 bucks from Fed Ex because his address was actually a resident address.
Also, about the 6 button harness thing. I did not install one because
A: cost would rise for the item B: CPS 1 and 2 would have been different, and C: People wire their sticks up differently all the time, and I did not want to have to second guess how someone had wired up something,or for that matter assume everyone knows how to to begin with.
Typically anything I will sell with a 6 button harness included will also include 6 button arcade sticks. As I stated in my response to the persons question however,I will gladly add a 6 button harness of their choice as long as they pay the extra cost for it and inform me which pins they need which wires soldered to on the db15 ports so that everything matches up with their own sticks.
I am not asking for advice on how to sell my own SG kits,as I never have had a problem in the past selling them to begin with, with or without 6 button harnesses included. This is another reason why you do not see me around posting on the subject of Superguns. If I do not include one in the auction I will always add one by request if I am the original builder of the Supergun.
I'm really appreciative that my friend is willing to post my ebay auctions on the Neo forums, however I am not so sure it is such a good idea as those forums are filled with drama, ego, conflicts and thread derailing on too much of a regular basis. For all its worth though,Xmods,if you are the buyer of the MVS 2-slot item,I am very glad you got it the way you wanted it. The most important thing is the item has found a good owner.
My seller feedback speaks for me and my quality, and I highly suggest people take that into account before making a purchase from anyone. I try to describe the item in as much detail as possible in description and pics, and ultimately all these factors should help the buyer know what they are getting into before making the bid or purchase. If they don't like what they see they simply should not buy. If they obviously don't like what they see in the pics and description yet still willingly hand money over then they are foolish.
Take care and best regards!
