Sorry to those that like Metal Slug 2 but the game stinks.

Way to much slow down.... it just kills it for me.

I think that's the general consensus. Go with Slug X.

Yeah the slowdown is bad, but it still manages to be good because it's Metal Slug.

Despite the giant angry face, I also say go with X. Slug 2 was and always will be a great game but X holds a lot of things over it as I've said before... But I definitely think Slug 2 has a superior color pallette as far as the levels go.

Even with slowdown, a slug is a slug. It's still a good game. I hit the cab badly several times when slowdowns made me lose some lifes but as an overall judgement this game rocks.

The slowdown only really gets bad when your playing 2P gaming otherwise it is not that bad.

Slug 2 is the best slug ever, off course to my taste.

nicest colors, best gameplay despite the slowdown and the best atmosphere.

Love it !

A bad Metal Slug game? Doesn't exist (yes I even love 4) it's just that 2 had some faults, and X pretty much cleared them up, and added some things here and there. So X is like a director's cut, or a special edition.
Nothing wrong with 2 though. wink

Seriously, the slowdown kills it for me. Shock Troopers 2 slowdown is NEEDED to beat the game.

Yeah, Slug 2 sucks.

If the other slug titles didn't exist, THEN Slug 2 would be a GREAT game.

But because all the other titles don't have it, it's just not that great.
