Allright so I'm sure this has been debated like a thousand times, but which do you think are better? I have both on different cabs, and I have to sya the Sanwa's feel looser, and seem like there easier to throw specials and combos with.

that said if anyone wants to trade, I would love to trade my seimitsu's for your sanwa sticks. mine are not very old, and are currently mounted on my New Astro City

I have a modded Tekken 5 stick with Sanwa parts on em and I do find the stick a lot more loose, and the buttons feel way more "mushy" than seimitsu's buttons.

I tend to prefer Seimitsu myself, but feel generally comfortable with either or.

I wanna put Seimitsu parts in my Neo Geo big red cab - but I have to fabricate some custom mounting plates first.

what kind of neo cab do you have? only reason I ask is because if its a standard big red the flat mounted seimitsu's should go right on no problem. I speak from experience, the control panel is metal you shouldnt need any modification

orly?

personally I like them both. They both make pretty killer sticks. Plus I tend to forget whats what.

I should have a nice order of Seimitsu's coming in through the shmup mass order. Seemed they would be easier to mount in my neo candy than sanwas, plus they sell pearl buttons

Because Sanwa sticks are looser, they seem to "bounce" as in double register when if you tap them and let go, versus Semitsu which doesn't. In general I'd say Sanwa for fighters, and Seimitsu for shooters.

I should clarify, I need a custom mounting plate for the Seimitsu stick itself. I don't want to drill new holes on my (fairly) minty CP, I wanna use the existing perm mounting bolts - the ones meant for HAPP sticks. So I'm going to fabricate a couple mounting plates that will fit onto those stock bolts in the cab, but have the screw-placement laid out for Seimitsu sticks.

When I got the cab, the sticks AND buttons were all loose as hell, the buttons were mostly non-happ brand so I tok em all out. I have a bunch of extra Seimitsu screw-in buttons I was gonna toss in there, but the screw-in seimitsu (and sanwa) buttons don't fit in the CP!!! Only snap-ins fit, I didnt have any seimitsu snap-ins so as a place-holder, I tossed in my spare Hori buttons I yanked from my Tekken 5 stick.

In a few days I'll be ordering Seimitsu snap-ins and 2 new sticks. I work in tool & die, so I'm just gonna make those custom plates whenever I have some free time at work.

I only got my cab about a month ago, so some stuff is still work-in-progress.

Exactly. I only use Sanwa's for fighters, and Seimitsu for shmups as well.

I use LS-32's becuase of their shorter through and slightly heavier feel to the sanwa's. With the buttons, I have got cabs with them both. I do like the flat top Siemitsu's but have got just as many with sanwa buttons. I think that the real difference is in the sticks. Both are just as good, just depends what you are used to.

I've never used anything other than the Seimitsu LS-32 joysticks and I feel that one small jerk to the left or right sends my player (in a shmup) waay to the left or right versus having a very heavy feel to the joystick and moving rather smooth and slowly...

If you like a short throw = Seimitsu
If you like a longer throw = Sanwa
