NGPC Play Check 3/18/07

I feel like talking some NGPC, so I'm making this thread D-Lite style.

Anyway, I've been playing Magical Drop Pocket with my new backlit NGPC (thanks again XianXi, it rocks), and I can't seem to get past the second to last stage on very hard. I guess I need more practice. I've also revisited Shanghai Mini in an attempt to continue where I left off, and I soon came to realize I'm out of shape in that game. I'm curious, has anyone finished Shanghai?

Lately I've been playing my NGPC a lot. Reset data of (almost) all games. I forgot how much fun it was to find all hostages and missions in Metal Slug 2nd Mission. Or collecting the puzzle pieces in Sonic Pocket Adventure.

Alas, I do not have that many NGPC games. And my NGPC is also starting to lose its quality. Perhaps I'll buy a new NGPC later, or just new games. And, if I got the guts, I'll modify it for the backlit thing as well.

Yep, I just got a backlit one as well. Amazing is the only word that comes to mind. I've been playing (mainly) some last blade, sam sho, motm, and gals fighters. Good times. I also recently got some 2 player action since I bought a link cable. It is tricky to do so, but motm is possible without any lag as long as you pull the link cable out a little bit. Very cool to finally have finally done this.

I just found my collection, which I had misplaced. I had finally convinced myself that it was gone forever, and that I was going to have to start all over again, when my sister found the collection at the bottom of her closet. How it got there, I'lll never know, but I'm just about ready to dive back into the Neo Pocket.

been mucking around with ganbare neo pokun, pretty wierd game, cool though. Im interested in this backlighting? where do you get it done how much ect, any pics of how the backlit screen looks? Also can u reset data in games were there is no option to? like gals fighters?

Been practicing SNK Vs. Capcom MOTM with Leona. I've never been particularly good at fighters except with my staples Kyo and Iori. I wouldn't even say I'm very good at Iori, I never know how to exploit his Scum Gale for maximum effectiveness. I'm ok with Kyo though, a lot of his special moves can chain together when used as cancels, I know his anti-airs, his keep away game, his crossovers. Leona just baffles me, I don't know how to use her earring bombs or her headband boomerang, but I love her punch and kick crossovers.

Biomotor Unitron, Last Blade, Metal Slug 1st and 2nd Mission are the only NGPC games that I own and I plan on building up a game collection and getting my NGPC back-li and I will send it to Xian Xi. Man I need an AC adaptor.

I had the NGPC since it first come out and then I found out that the original SNK was closing down and that the games were on clearance which I was to late to collect. :spock:

SNK/Playmore should release a new NGPC handheld that is identicle to the Neo Geo console games and put 4 buttons on it and make mini AES or MVS carts.

Freeplay option would be awesome! :cool:

I beat Magical Drop Pocket on Super Hard today. All it took was a few warm up games and I had it, yet last weekend I couldn't do it for the life of me after a couple hours of playing. Go figure.

I think MotM will rest in my NGPC now, I still have some stuff to unlock.

KOF R1 rocks. I've only had it a few days and it's already starting to take over R2's place in my heart. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it yet. It's funny, but the production values almost feel higher in this one. I guess I can't really explain why I feel that way, I just do.

I'm not playing anything at the moment since it's been awhile since I've had a NGPC, but I'm slowly becoming very vulnerable to it's charm and I think I need to buy another one soon.

I've been playing Card Fighters for the past 4 months now, very good game. I need to get the SNK version and let my brother build his deck so I can kick his ass.

Do it. Two player action is where it's at with this game. After a while you can really begin to see the patterns and flaws in the CPU. Given enough decent cards I can beat the CPU 100% of the time, which takes a lot of the fun away.

Even with a fairly crappy deck I can beat the vast majority of the CPU players... it just takes longer.

then I turned it off and put it back into storage

I haven't played since I played my cousins NGP (non color) back in the late 90s I've had two chances to buy a NGPC but both times didn't have the $$ I plan to get one soon though
