So what did I miss?

After getting a little worried, since I hadn't seen my DS laying around the house I went on a search the other day.. the DS showed up in a bag that I brought to the last MN Neo gathering (I didn't play it while I was there) and I had not played it for weeks prior to the gathering either... It should get a little play this weekend since I'm taking a road trip, but I will also have 2 PSP with (one @ 1.5 for teh romz), so there is no guaranty.

I haven't really found too many games that I absolutely love for the system.. Advanced wars would be my fav... and the rest seem ok but nothing keep me playing it... I'm not a fan of having to use the touch screen and don't unless I absolutely have to. It's a neat feature, but it also part of the reason I'm not buying a Wii any time soon, seem like a gimmick to me more than anything and the novelty will were off like the touch screen on the DS did with me...

So off the top of my head I have:
Advanced Wars - only game that keeps me playing the DS as long as I have.
Animal crossing - was fun for a few weeks
Viewtiful joe - meh
Magnetica - worth the $10 i paid for it
Harvest moon - haven't started it
Freedom Wings - haven't got into in in the two time i've tried to play it
Ridge Racer - worth the $5 I paid for it
Mr. Driller - was fun for a little while but not really my thing
Puyo - love the game just hate playing the computer
Mario 64 - picked it up when it came out and didn't like it as much as the N64 version I remember playing when I was younger.

There are others but can't think of them right now.

Clubhouse Games man, you're missing out! More fun than 20 barrels of monkeys, and has Wi-Fi Connection gameplay!

Agreed. Clubhouse Games is excellent. Great single card down load play and very good Wi-Fi play as well. It is decent as a single player game as well.

I would suggest"

Trioncube $19.99 and it is a great puzzle game.

If you are in to Castlevania, both games are good and I like Lunar Knights as well. Kirby Sqeek Squad is a good time as well.

im really into bleach 2nd atm that game is awesome, kinda plays like that arena mode of guardian heroes, only downside is that its all in japanese so have to use an faq or trial and error for the story mode, but its an excellent game once you get into it. Also trauma center i found was a game where its mostly all controlled via the touch screen, quite fun and different. Games like trauma center kinda show what it is possible to do people put more than 3 minutes thought into the use of the touch screen imo.

I haven't played Clubhouse Games on Wi-Fi lately 'cos CFC DS had been sucking away my attention, but I think you can check the status of gamers online at Nintendo's WFC website.

Why do people get all worried when they havent played a game for a while?

You never here people say "Oh shit, I havent read a book in like seven years, somethings wrong. I must be losing my edge."

I'm in the same boat, as I haven't 'played' my DS all year. The only time I turn it on these days is to use this rather excellent dictionary software I have for it. Last night is the first time I have charged the system in 2007.

If you haven't played Final Fantasy III then I recommend you get that, as it is one of the best games for the system.

Advance Wars is superb, but I have put over 300 hours into it and really don't feel like playing it these days. Still have it though...

I got the wife Clubhouse Games at Christmas and she plays it practically every day.

For me though the PSP has replaced the DS. I look at the upcoming games for the DS and there is nothing that grabs me at all. Final Fantasy XII RW looks excellent visually, but I have some serious doubts about what they are going to do with it. Heroes of Mana just got off to an exceptionally poor start in Japan, so who knows, maybe they will stop pumping out watered down kiddie pap.

Next month is Final Fantasy I Remake on PSP, followed by Final Fantasy Tactics Remake shortly after. Have never played either, and they both look superb.

I've played my DS, but mainly for GBA games lately.

I touched my PSP for the first time in months to play Metal Slug Anthology.
What could you guys possibly be playing on the PSP?

There's so much stuff I still want to play on the DS it's not even right.

Hell... there's still a bunch of GBA games I want to but have yet to play.

That little system is going to be satisfying my portable gaming needs for years to come.

(Not to mention that Pokemon hits US shelves in a little over a month... talk about a nerdgasm.)

Actually, I was worried about the were abouts of my DS and if anything good had came out for it in the past three months or so.
