Wait till you play Baseball Stars 2 in the season mode...in the 15th game of the season, the CPU pulls off some ridiculous plays. For example, pitchers are able to hit home runs without a powered up bat and so on. The sad thing is, I think the game follows an algorith of some sort to keep the games close on purpose.

If you use a memory card on Baseball Stars 2 and the batter you're pitching to hits a home run, you can then reset the game, load the game from the memory card and redo the sequence. 9 times out of 10, that same batter will still hit a home run after you reset! No lead is safe in the later stages of that game! The CPU always has the ability to rubber-band itself back into the game to keep the scores close, and it doesn't help that your pitchers tire out as easily as they do!

I don't think practice would stop the CPU from pulling out home runs whenever it needs one...

It certainly is beatable...I've finished the game with just about every team. But it seems that once the CPU has made up its mind about scoring, there's very little you can do to stop it!

You either need to mix up your pitches more (change locations and speeds) and make sure you're using a team with a good pitching staff. I found that the CPU often has a hard time hitting pitches when you're using a pitcher who is getting slightly tired...in other words, don't change pitchers too soon...try to go at least 5-7 innings with your starting pitcher, and again, mix up your pitch locations, speeds and pitch types. Try to pick off runners if there are any on base...they'll try to steal bases often and you can usually get a freebie out if you occassionally use a pickoff move to first base and catch them taking off for second base.

I was mixing them up a lot...but it didn't help... :(

I beat the CPU yesterday, but only by racking up so many runs that the CPU couldn't cheap it's way back to winning :

Final Score : 7 - 12

lol

This game is so home run happy...
