Help! I suck at 3 Count Bout.

Many a game has fallen under my iron thumb of nerd-ness. But I've never taken on a wrestling game, and it shows. Not a fighting game, & not a beat-em-up, I just can't get the hang of it. I ask for help from the God's of button-smashing. What can I do to crush this game?!?

I played it a few times but stopped out of pity for my joysticks...

Yeah, this is a masher, pure and simple. At least in Kimg of Monsters there was some modicum of technique. If it's in 3 Count, I can't find it.

I just got this game and I have to admit it's a bit cheap. First I recommend checking out the faq on gamefaqs.com Once I did that it got a bit easier. Apparently you need to punch/kick the opponent more in order to win the grapple easier. I tried playing it with neorage using the rapid fire option. This worked for about the first 3 fights after that you MUST hit them first in order to win the grapple.
