New on Naomi... Sample Game!*

(*A.K.A. Guilty Gear X?)

I finally got my Naomi Uni! I am officially one of you guys now :D however the strangest thing... it came with Guilty Gear X, and a USA biosed N1 mobo. However the game in the test menu where it shows what game is inserted, comes up as, "SAMPLE GAME USA VERSION" - instead of GUILTY GEAR X USA like I *think* it's supposed to. Can anyone confirm this? I have reason to believe this may be a beta version of Guilty Gear X, as the blood in the game also shows up as green (which is red in GGX2R).

If anyone can confirm this, post in this thread! Pictures soon to follow. Thanks in advance!

The green blood will be because of the US bios, I had the game on a jap bios machine and the blood was red as normal. Also, the name might be partly to do with the bios also, but i cannot confirm this.

Someone at SN.com confirmed that theirs also shows up as sample game. It so strange, I wonder why Sammy would leave something like that out. I kind of expected the green blood thing, its a shame you cant change it to red on a US bios :(

lol I've been so busy I havent had time. Once I get my room cleaned (which is hopefully today, as I have off from work), I should be able to post pics of my collection. :)

Nice dude! Those woodies must be huge! Is it just me or do naomis look a lot bigger in person than in photos.

You going to but the net city CP and sidearts?

I was thinking about it. Figure for VF4 Evo it would look a lot better with the Net City conversion pack, but at the same time, I question its "dedicated-ality" as VF4 Evo didnt have a dedicated cabinet. I actually thought about painting it black but the fact that I wanted to keep it dedicated made me reconsider. Then again... (lol), could you imagine an all black Naomi? How awesome would that be?

haha thats my cab!!! I looked at dyeing the light strip blue but apparently it isnt possible because blue and orange are at opposite ends of the colour spectrum!

you could sell purple ones for $1000 and I would still think white looks better. I just like the white ones. No offense. Yours is very nice :)

LOL!! woops... :) I thought you were talking about the black net city side panels etc.. That is a lot for the marquee holder. You'd think people would just make them or have them made at that price. If I had one to use as a template, I bet I could get them made for less than half that at my local plastic shop.


I don't ever remember seeing one for sale though.

Well i got a marquee so i might just take it to my local hardware store and ask them to cut 2 pieces of plexiglass just a bit bigger than them.

Im sure theres some way of clipping them both together.
