Pulstar: Level 4 boss help

that crab/lobster looking thing is pissing me off, don't know what to do when he shoots those blue balls at me, I am not gay, I don't need no stinking blue balls coming at me!!!!! Help!

Are those the blue balls that home-in on you, while he's sucking you in?

If so:

Move to the back of the screen! before he starts sucking you in, and simply let go of the joystick. His pulling you forward will allow you to move at a speed that dodges them; and he'll stop sucking you in right before you crash into him.

The level 4 boss is nothing compared to 5!

Honestly, I can't remember exactly where you have to be onscreen to dodge, but I think it's either right in the center or up high, and it helps if you have the voyager to protect your front (I know - I'm no help really )

But I do have a cheat that works on all the bosses- I know it works really well with the standard neo old-school controller. Just put a finger on the pause button while you play and tap tap tap it right as the boss fires- it's like slo-motion on those oldschool NES controllers. By doing this you can learn EXACTLY where to be when a boss fires. (I found this very helpful on level 5)

Any time I beat a boss other than the level one boss, in Pulstar, I feel like I've made an incredible accomplishment.

Anyways, to the Crab.

Typically I sway back to the upper corner of the screen for a sec and then move back before he moves forward with his claws opening and closing.

Aye aye sir, I will try upper corner then!! I hate those blue lasers that bounce up and down diagonally, then the 2 streaks of yellow shots, followed by Blue Oysters Bar's famous blue balls.... gah!!

the most important thing is to make sure that when the crab is ready to move forward on you, you're in his face shooting, and ready to peddle back with his advances. When he reaches the far left side of the screen, you want ot be right there in his safety zone - inside the claws right in his face. That's where you'll probably kill him, seeing as you were firing as much as you could up to that point.

It's tough though. My save is further up so I don't have to deal with crab anymore. wink
