Is there any way to get this thing to not lag so much?

Ive tried disabling sound, but nothing really seems to help.

I was wondering about that too...

Always wanted to play DBZ Hyper Dimension on the go.

Not that I've found. Most games run alright, but there just doesn't seem to be a good fix for the ones that don't.

I hear the GP2X runs the SNES with less lag, but I don't own one so...

Are you playing SNES games with your PSP over the internet?

Because lag is inherent to your inherent connection, you know?

Oh, wait...

You mean slowdown, right?

Or is it frameskip?

Just regular ole slowdown.

Strange that NeoGeo runs great on this thing, but SNES has trouble.

Its mostly Mario Kart thats unplayable, so I think its just Mode7 heavy games that have the problem.

Yeah, SNES slows down a lot. NES, MD, PCE and Neo Geo runs great though

You gotta tweak frameskip, and the core emulation modes. "PSP accelerated+accurate software, approx soft ware. etc.."

Just play GBA games on your GBA or DS. There's lots of good SNES ports on the GBA.

SNES EMulation is pretty sloppy to say the least, probably because of the 734827893 different types of helper ASICS used in various games that have to be emulated. The SPC700 is a complicated chip as well.

My PS2 has a hard time emulating the SNES properly.

Xbox runs it fine though:emb:

I think the problem is people are just porting over stuff made for Windows.

Doesnt really matter, theres plenty of other things to play on here.

The Xbox also has a significantly more powerful CPU.

Xbox: Celeron 733 MHz
PSP: MIPS R-Series 333 MHz (max)
PS2: EE 294 MHz

Snes runs pretty well on my psp.
Disabling layers can help out on some games that have some slow down, also having the frameskip to about two.
