I've replaced a ton of monitors, but never a nintendo one. I know they're weird as hell.... the sound from the game goes to the monitor, then back to the speakers (I know this because I took my old one out waiting for the new one to get here). Anyone have any tips for me before this new one gets here that I should know?

If it's an original Nintendo cab (DK/DKjr/etc...) with the Sanyo monitor then you'll be dealing with inverted video signals. You are better off repairing it.

Another option is to use a Nintendo to Jamma adapter. This will allow you to use a standard monitor. Of course you will need to rewire your cabinet to Jamma (very simple.)
