I have just tried Athena' 2k1 SDM, Psychic 9, and it was qiute difficult, I'm not fast enough!
After that attack, there is three follow-ups, I failed to do any one of them, any ways that I can use effectively?

I know, that DM is so hard to pull off, I kept messing up..I can't help you, though...I just kept on practising and only once did I get it right..and finished off with only one finisher...I'm STILL trying to this day...

Anyway, I've just succed, the reason I failed is because I mixed up punch and kick!

Those two are the example of the three follow-ups!

The best way to do the Psychic 9 is to be "one step ahead" in the button series. By the time she does one move, you want to make sure that you've pressed the next button to do her next move. Just a reminder, the full Psychic 9 is: A,B,C,A,B,C,D + AB, BC or CD.

It takes a LOT of practice, but it's certainly worth it to master it. This move can be comboed into VERY EASILY by Athena, even off of a simple Standing or Squatting A punch! :)

A few things on the Psychic 9...

Like the CD combo from Samurai 4 it takes a little practice before you begin to feel it. Break up the combo into 4 parts:

hcb,f+AC
A,B,C
A,B,C,D
finisher

notes for each part...
hcb,f+AC: This gives you 2 hits. Make sure you wait for the first hit to finish before continuing, or your timing will be off. And like VinylBoy said, learn how to combo into this.

A,B,C: Learn the whole combo this far in training before continuing. The button presses are regular and fairly spaced apart, around 1 every half second starting by pressing A when you see the 2nd hit animation of the combo starter.

A,B,C,D: You need to maintain the button press timing about 1 move behind of the animation. The animation will fool you into thinking the buttons are slower than they are, causing you to miss the D hit. If this happens, compensate by getting to D faster.

finishers: Stop buffering when you get to the finisher and wait for the animation to catch up. There are 3 finishers: qcf+P, dp+P, and hcb+K. The main thing to watch here is that dp+P and hcb+K are true finishers, but qcf+P is a launcher. So if you do the launcher, you can follow up with a Psycho Sword or worse.

I got that move down now. I like to see that move end up on KOF Online

one bit of advice. Be sure to learn P9, rave combos, etc by pressing the button once. Sometimes ive seen where people will push the next hit repetedly. One button tap will make it that much smoother.
