Gamefront.de:

Angeblich Dracula X: Rondo of Blood geplant

Anyway, yes that's a rumor. Yes there is a prototype of a 2D Castlevania created for PSP, but that may not be Rondo, and anyway rondo of blood works great with the PCE superCD emulator.

PCE superCD emulator? which one is that?

Do you get full sound/music with that emu?

I know that Rondo of Blood works on the PC Engine emulator. But, damn it, I want a translated, proper U.S. release. This is ridiculous. Konami has to be blind to not see the crazy demand for this.

If it does come out on PSP, I will be surprised. After seeing all the sprites from RoB that were redone for PoR, I was waiting for it to be announced on DS. I don't care either way, I just saying...

The name is "PCE for PSP", one of the first emus for the console, and yes it had full sound. the PCE is easy to emulate.

I had some problems to get the sound work on Spriggan Mark 2, but no problem at all with rondo.

The only problem with PCE, is that after whatever audio track you're on finishes, that's it. There is no music until you get to the part where the next track comes on. It's annoying.

Ah yes that s true, the source code is available for you to compile, iirc that s what i did back then to get music loops, but i m sure there are somewhere modified builds. -lost mine and my psp dev environment in a disk crash-.

little tool to create a usable image (and table of contents)

it works fine on magic engine

but I had to pull out an old CD drive because the current DVD drive installed had issues with the playback

damn fine game

they should release it for XBLA

I'd rather play this on a couch than on the toilet or in front of a monitor

Why didn't you just emulate the CD by making an image of it and using a program to emulate the iso? Like Alcohol 120 or something like that.

you know what

I thought it didn't support it

but I guess the creator of magic engine meant the emu itself doesn't read ISOs

anyway, I tried it after you typed that, and BAM!

worked like a charm

I'd tickle your balls if I was gay

YESS!!!

A true Castlevania game....

I'm also glad to see Ayami Kojima doing her thing in this CV project.

That whole 'anime' theme on the DS CVs were a mess....

Holy Mary mother of God I cannot believe my eyes. Finally Finally Finally one of my favorite games, Rondo of Blood, is coming back. I ordered the original PC Engine version the day it came out, and to this day, it is one of my favorite games. I am so happy the original version is on the UMD. I just about creamed my pants when I saw this article.

This is great! Finally! Too bad I dished out some cash to play it on the real hardware. ...speaking of ports, If only Squaresoft released both the 3D remake and original version of Final Fantasy III

I almost cried.

Just last night I plugged in my PC engine and played a few levels of Rondo.

SotN too!???

Original + redone versions???

WTF, Konami- I'm sorry I ever doubted you.

Seriously- best gaming news in a long time. Between this and Salamander PSP is back with a vengence. DS Lite may have the advantage but Konami is bringing the PAIN. Good god damn, is this great.

Rondo of Blood- finally a US version on the PSP. This is definately going to sell some systems.

SotN- I thought the Xbox Live version was going to get some new people into it, this will be insane. One of the greatest games ever.

Let's fuel up the hype-wagon and star recruiting crew.

Fantastic !

The best classic-style castlevania and the best Metroid Vania (to me). :) best of both worlds, there is no way to not feel happy.

Here is to hoping they finish the code and implement what that mirror on the pirate ship is supposed to do when you reach the area with Maria (only).

This is great news! I'm shelling out for my 4th PSP!
