I thought the character was incredablly cheap as a boss most of the time. At the same time though his cheapness gave you an incentive to beat him, so yeah I want to see him in the next SNK VS Capcom.

He's a good character(gotta love that 80's mullet, seriously!!) but he's cheap as hell , but the fire/ice theme is original for a fighting character if nothing else. but why fight in pants??? and that goes for urien too. as far as i know urien is gills brother , but i haven't raed any storyline that tells me otherwise.
question::
why does urien come from different countrys in SF3 2nd imapct and 3rd strike. in 2nd Impact he fights from kenya (i think) while in £rd strike it's Mexico.

My Favourite character of all time! Great for beating the heck out of experienced players and srubs alike! (Probably why he's not selectable at the arcades).

Oh well, Urien is a good enough subsitibe if you master his mayhem.

Pyrokenisis! - Need I say more?

Gill is a dumb name. Geese is much better

No, Capcom needs to fix your hearing my boy. It's pyrokensisis and cryokenisis, depending on which side he's on.

I think that Gill's design is top notch. Very original down to his moves. Yes, he's a cheap ass boss, but show me a boss who isn't. I really like the fact that they didn't just filp his sprite when he goes from the right side to the left side. I'd like to see Gill in C vs S 3.

Try beating Galaxy Fight and see how original Gill's design seems afterwards. Gill is an unoriginal ripoff character.

As for Urien, just watch the intro to FF3, then watch his round intro.

Gill is definitely one of the more original and interesting boss designs I've seen in awhile. If nothing else, his animations are awesome (fire flowing from his right side, ice shards falling from his left) and is without a doubt warranted an appearance in CvsS 3. Though they should also consider adding in a striker option in which case they could bring in all sorts of characters from other games.

Gill is in my mind one of the cheapest bosses in a fighter I have ever fought. Probably not up there with Amakusa or Mizuki from SS1 and SS2, but Gill's supers and that damn reserection gives him a whole new level of cheapness. Going through hell and losing nearly all of your life meter to knock the bastard out, and then he just gets up and brushes it off and regains all life lost is almost too much.

Don't you think Gill and Urien look a little too much like Dio and Gee Gus?

He's one of the easier bosses I've fought. Hard but unlike some SNK bosses kicking his ass over and over again (and vice versa) is fun not frustrating..

While Gill may be cool and all, he just doesn't belong in the Street Fighter universe. He belongs in Darkstalkers. I really don't know what Capcom was thinking making him the last boss in SF3. The story goes to fighting a drug lord (M. Bison) to a ...uh...whatever the hell Gill is. Makes no sense.

I hate full screen supers.

I remember a time where you weren't forced to block specials, supers, etc.

Needless to say, I not a fan of Gill.

He wasn't that bad in the 1st 2 SF III games, but it seems he got chessed up royaly in 3rd Strike. Barely, if ever pays for his rushing charge attack (Thanks for making throws even harder to do Capcom! ).

Gill is actually a blatant ripoff of Felden, the final boss of Galaxy Fight. The long, floppy limbs, the fact that he's practically naked, the two-handed projectile--they're all stolen right off of Felden.

Watch Urien's intro very carefully right before a round starts. He has slicked-back blonde hair, five o'clock shadow stubble, and a brown suit. He looks exactly like Geese from the Fatal Fury 3 intro. It's not even subtle.
