One of my friends came across a "Super Bobble Bobble" PCB. Now obviously this is a boot, but we decided to strap a supergun to it and capture some video.

Interesting... aside from teh Super Bubble Bobble title screen, whats the difference with the game?

Some of the monsters are different from the original.

I was a hardcore Bubble Bobble player and from the first minute its obvious to me the colors of the stages are different. 2nd stage was brown with a black background if I remember correctly and the other stage thats red and green was blue/gray and black with some specks here and there. Also the enemies are different.

Doesn't this one have the Fire, Jump, Fire, Jump, Fire, Jump, Right, Start code from the original pcb enabled permanently? Maybe check the MAME romset of the original version and see if playing with that code gives you the same game as Super Bobble Bobble.
