I think most of us are aware of the original SF cabinet, you know, the really big one that had the pneumatic controls on it? My question is, did capcom release a different dedicated cabinet? In the flyer it states that there was an upright version of the game as well as the original cab, but there are no pictures of it.
Edit- This is the original cabinet, as per klov:

...and this is the "other" dedicated cabinet I'm referring to:

Now with SF2, I know for a fact there were dedicated SF2CE cabinets that used capcoms CPS1 cabinet (similar to the punisher cabinet), although I've never seen one for the original SF2. My question is, was there another dedicated cabinet for this as well? My guess is no, despite these original cabs being as hard to find as they are. If anyone has any dedicated street fighter machines, please, if you dont mind, post some pics of them so I can find out if there were two versions or not!
Edit- This is the original SF2CE cab I was talking about, with an SFA marquee:

...and this is the "other" dedicated cabinet that seems to be much more popular:

Sorry I'm such a dedicated freak! Thanks in advance!

Good question... I've never seen an original SF cabinet that wasn't the second one pictured. In fact... that's the first time I've ever seen the first one.

Yeah, apparently they're super rare. But that is infact the original dedicated Capcom cabinet. I'm trying to find out the truth about as many dedicated cabinets as I can, and what better place to start than my favorite series? :)

I saw a dedicated "Street Fighter 3" cab this past week. It wasn't "Hyper" or "Alpha" or "Super"....just plain "Street Fighter 3". It was beautiful and for sale.

I've seen both of those SF cabinets. The 6-button version I saw at a Round Table Pizza, and the big button I saw at an arcade at the mall, as well as Pier 39. The big button one kept breaking because people hit it too hard.

Speaking of SF1 Cabs, I picked up a couple of cabs from a friend for $100 and one of them is a SF1 dedicated cab. It needs a little TLC and the Taito Egret is going to get a full paint job soon. Both work fine...they just need new control parts.

As much as I think the first Street Fighter game sucks, that's a good lookin' cab I'd love to own!

Yeah, SF1 is a horrible game but I took it out and put in Super SF2X for now.

The monitor is old and has a little burn in. After I adjusted the settings it kinda camouflaged it but not much. Believe it or not, I kinda like the 19 inch monitor.

The best part is the control panel and sideart. It's all there. It has a few gouges and scratches but I plan on keeping and restoring it.

As for the Egret. I have to drill out those locks. Original owner lost the keys.:oh_no:

Meh never saw a street fighter cab based on the first pic. But if it is super rare, then no wonder. Most of the dedicated street fighters I see are either in the dynamo or the qsound cabs.

I will go a step further saying that i had never ever saw nor owned an original arcade board of SF2 (any version) ive only saw and owned original versions of the alpha series.

PS: Ive been a coin up operator for several years in the past, but here in Brasil the original boards are to expensive and the boards on the market are always boot boards.

That first picture is indeed a deticated cab, but very rare under 50 made if im not mistaken. The second genre is the most common, but it too is a deticated cab. A second party created the 1st picture cab,...much like the Ikari Warrior cab there are two version of a Deticated cab, a second party (licesed) made the cut corner cab. You would be very hard pressed to find the 6 button cab (first picture) do to most throwing the cabs away because of space, and as mentioned before the early gammers loved to hit the hell out of the buttons therefore causing damage.

I'm having a hard time believing that there were only 50 of those types of cabinets made. I've seen at least 2 or 3 of those in different arcades over the years, there has to be more than 50 of them.

Unless you mean they only made 50 cabinets with pressure-sensitive buttons. Then I have no idea.
