just saw shots of it in the latest famitsu and checked out the website.

i like the look of it though how real a fighter it will be remains to be seen and will make or break the game of course.

i like the streetfighter ex 3 style of "choose your moves" idea though.

Looks kind of Guardian Heroes-ish. Not sure if those are multiple planes or not, but it kind of looks like it. If nothing else it's Wifi, so that might be worth the purchase alone :)

Is there only 4 characters? That's what it seems like after briefly looking over the site.

It looks pretty cool, but I'm kind of iffy on the item system/use of the touch-screen to use/activate said items... At least that's what it looks like the game is going to incorporate, judging by the screenshots. That stuff just never seems to flow well, but then again I never really know how to utilize that said items/power-ups, since all the DS fighters that I've ever played that use that mechanic (all of them), I never understand anyway since they're in Japanese and I didn't care to look up what's what.

Still though, I'm not going to comment until after I've played the game. I expect at least a decent fighter out of it, hopefully better than Bleach (not that it was bad) and Jump! Superstars (which was bad).

Edit:

Good question...

According to Gamespot, it's going to be released this March in Japan, but we should know about more character (if they exist) before then...

there are only 4 characters.

the touch screen thing is a rhythm combo system for extra damage.

there are over 100 moves you can buy and give to your character ala sfex3 edit mode.

there is an rpg aspect to it as well which involves shopping and walking around town and battling monsters or something along those lines...

So I guess it's not so much a traditional 2-d fighter as we thought, but more along the lines of the Tales series?

Thanks for the info, I think that might of just killed my interest in the game. :(

gotta wait till a movelist/control scheme turns up i suppose.

might be a streetfighter style game with "gimmicks" or could just be a dumbed down forward+a type game aimed at primary schoolers who get into collecting stuff...

judging by the art style, i'm guessing it's the latter...

Looks good, but judging by Dimps other recent-ish creation 'Demolish Fist', I would wait and see what the reviews say.
