OK, time for a check up on everyone and their NGPC play.

I've been playing some Shanghai Mini lately and I must say that for some reason I love this game. It's not some fantastic graphic-whore dream, and the gameplay is what you'd call simple and clean. I've always had a soft spot for Shanghai gameplay, be it on the Lynx, a computer, wherever. The NGPC version has always been a favorite.

I'm going to try to post these threads regularly, like monthly or so. Hoping to rekindle the flame a bit.

I still play match of the millennium and both metal slugs from time to time. I own a good 20 games but play very few of them anymore.

Sadly, I'm losing interest.:crying:

Playing some hardcore CFC 1 and... Pac-Man, believe it or not :emb:

Why is the gameplay of a big yellow amoeba chomping on bread crumbs so appealing, and the ingestion of blue spooks so satisfying? :D

Haven't touched the pocket color since it started resetting on me. :(

But I'm a little busy for games these days.

Same reason that fitting falling blocks together is. Simple and satisfies the OCD in all of us.

Gave up on CFC. Interest just petered out. Started playing some Puzzle Link 2. That's some real goodness right there. I noticed my last high score was sometime in 04. I wish all the games on the other system were as hardcore as saving your high scores.

I've been playing Cotton, and that's all that has been in my NGPC for a month.

In three weeks, I'm hoping to get some linkup action in with wataru330 and maybe some others. I can't wait.

What level are you at? I think I got to level 9 or 10 last time I was playing and then stopped for some reason. I might still have the passwords written down somewhere around here. It surely is quite an addicting game. I think I stopped playing because I was afraid to finish it.

Same here, just played it yesterday. I am getting better at it also. Still need to find a copy of Delta Warp as well.

I only have Biomotor Unitron, Metal Slug 1st Mission, Metal Slug 2nd Mission and The Last Blade for the NGPC and I plan on getting more games for it so that I can play my NGPC handheld again. I better get an AC adaptor so that I won't have to change the batteries and also get my NGPC modded with an original GBA SP light to see the games alot better on the screen. :)

Shawn, I still owe you a PM.

And I must say I'm appalled at the lack of participation in this thread. Perhaps we should switch back the forum to Neo Pocket Color again.

A month ago I was just about ready to make my own NGP PHPBB forums or something. It's terrible, like 1/200 topics here are NGPC related.

True, but it is a well-worn system. No games for years now, the hype/interest is low. I will be trying to drum up some more interest though as I feel the system is still a fine example of portable gaming goodness.

I punished myself with CFC a while back trying to get the last 3 cards I need.

I kind of wish someone would port the newer version of neopop over to Xbox so I could play MOTM on a TV.

Tried playing the battle de paradise copy that I bought from Kim a month or so ago. I'm going to need a faq for it.

I might be wrong, but wouldn't that look like absolute shit on any decent sized television?

Yep. I doubt there would be a significantly larger amount of NGP discussion had this forum remained NGP only, but I bet there would be a bit more.

I busted out Picture Puzzle today and found that my save was gone. Does anyone have an idea how that could have happened?

Anyway, I ended up getting to level 22 or something, got frustrated and stopped playing at the second or third 10x10 puzzle. Yeah, I'm not very good at it and I need practice. :lolz:
