I've played around 50 games so far and have yet to win a game yet. The most kills I've had was 18. Everytime I get into a one on one with someone going round and round, back and forth, I'll lose. I can blast a guy continuously, even headshots, and still the guy will never drop, but he pops at me for a second and I'm gone. WTF is the deal here? Even when I come up from behind and blast away for a couple seconds, before the guy even realizes where it is coming from, he'll just turn around, blast a shot my way and I'm gone again. You can't tell me everyone I come aginst is able to instantaneously pop a perfect headshot everytime either. I check the game stats afterwards and there are barely any headshot kills for anyone. Also when someone spawns right behind me, I'm done again almost instantly and it isn't a headshot or grenade that does it.

Anyway, what is the secret here, or is there one other than luck. The best way to get the qickest kills I can see is to come in late on a firefight, when they are already weakened, and launch a grenade and start firing away to finish 'em off. Other than that, head to head for me ends up with me on the ground almost 100% of the time...Any tips...

69 and 0 now...:(

Saw some guy's record of like 379 games played and he's won 290...:eek_2: That's gotta be bullshit. Unless he knows some hidden place to hide out where nobody can see him or spawn behind him, there is no way to have that high a winning record...Maybe he has some code for 1 hit kills. I don't know what the fuck my problem is but I get smoked right outta the gate no matter where I shoot, how I shoot or what I use to shoot...I blasted one guy with 3 shotgun hits at close range and he hit me with the carbine as soon as he spun around and I dropped while he ran on...Forget the damn melee kills also. I whack some guy 3 times in the face with the butt of my gun and then start shootin and nothing happens apparently until he lands a shot or two on me and done, but if I get melee'd just once that's all it takes to put me down...WTF am I missing here? Gettin old real quick...

What do you mean by win? Getting the most kills during a multiplayer game?

If you are losing in one to one encounters then it is because the other player is better than you. Simple as that. It also depends on the weapons used, and how well they are used.

I have played in hundreds of multiplayer games, and never come top once, but I'm nearly always in the top quarter, unless I'm having an off day...

Incidentally, anyone know how to use the Arc Charger effectively? I have played this game to death and still haven't got around to figuring it out...

By win I mean win a match of ranked deathmatch play...

As for being better than I, sure there are plenty of guys much better than I, but the guys that are more experienced can't put you down everytime with full health instantly only using a carbine. No headshot. If I get hit from behind it's over before I even begin to spin around...You ever hit a guy with the grenade launcher from the carbine and the guy still comes at you after a direct hit? That's what I'm talking about. It's not as though I'm saying i can't shoot anyone at all, just that my shots seem to have no effect, even when aimed right at the head, while the other guys shots waste me instantly. Again these are not counting the ones that get me via the head shot, just your plain ole shoot until you drop, both using a carbine. It's as though everyone else has ten times the health. Do you gain more resisitance/strength or something as you increase levels...

Ah, I have never played ranked games. I always go for the free for all section.

There are quite a few times where I get raped from behind with a carbine, yes.

Hitting someone (directly) from the grenade launcher from behind and still have them turn round and kill me? Er, no, but it depends on the case. Maybe damage was lowered? Maybe your grenade didn't hit them directly and only damaged them, in which case you are vulnerable as you can't instantly switch from firing a grenade to firing bullets.

Well, I just played my first ranking game, and came 5th out of 14, which wasn't too bad seen as I didn't know what to expect. The stage was pretty small (from what I saw of it) and the action super intense.

Then I went on to a free for all game and came 1st out of 31 :)

Then I played some more and didn't do quite so well...

It is swings and roundabouts.

I played my first online game ever just now and got beat down. It was 8 on 8 and the other team was all the same clan. I managed to get a few kills but at the end they won both rounds. I need to find some newbie rooms to play in until I get used to it I guess. It was fun though. I like the stat tracking and medals and such. Very cool.
