I picked this game up thursday not knowing what to expect. I heard things about from people on the board and from I had heard it was good. So when i stoped by my local media recyclery to see if they were carrying SF3 3rd impact, Guilty Gear, and a few other games this little game caught my eye. It all came back to me those good words about the game and so on. I said "Hell it's $12 what can I lose?" I dropped the money and headed home. I barely touched the game cuz I was busy for the rest of the day. The next day I'm heading over to a part so I said "Hell lets bring my DC" I grab MOTW Kof Dream match and then I slip Last blade into my bag. I got there and imediately began to play.

So now onto the part that MATTERS!

I'm in love with this game! The game play is simple yet complex. At first i was ticked that the game was basicly a 3 button fighter but the "parry" was a great addition. Granted sometimes the fights became very DoAish. (I counter this but i counter the counter and so on....). The characters have great designs and are all unique and interesting. They're easy to learn as well and are all deadly in there own right. I sprites looked a little fuzzy but other than that they ruled. The Bg's too were very good. I didn't really notice to much from the music category but the SFX's were very nice. The sounds of swords slicing flesh filled the air. While most of everyone was playing Halo I was living it up with a few freinds playing a real game.

So if you have a DC and dont own this game...BUY IT! It's awesome! and it comes fairly cheap

He's right you know it is very good. I just played through as Lee and got a perfect on the boss on both rounds, I have never done that before on any fighter.
I am told that the AES version is far better but for £15 you cant complain

The Dc port is good as long as you get the Jap version. The US is heavily censored.

Lee just owns all characters, he's fast as hell and has combos out the butt. What did they censor from the US version? The colorless blood is fairly annoying though, I can't believe in this day and age they still pull that stuff. It's ok if you open up a machine gun on your enemies, but if they bleed red blood it's not ok? Man.... shame

Not only is it censored, but they left some stuff out from the JP version. For one, I think parts (story, endings, secret characters) are mixed up or left out entirely. Not positive on the specifics of this as I've never played the US release, I'm just mentioning this from recollection of what I've read. I'm sure someone here can give more detailed info on that.

The other thing that got left out (sadly) is the extra Hanafuda game. It's quite fun once you learn the rules and best way of scoring. I played this quite a bit once I completely figured out how to with a little translation help from someone on the net.

It's a good game on the DC, an even better one on AES/MVS.

I own both versions.

there r fatalities? Like in samurai shodown 3?
You can cut people in half at the end of the match, depending on what your final attack is and where your special bar is.

IF you liked LB2 on the DC and have a NGH or MVS setup, I definitely recommend going for the NGH/MVS version, along with Last Blade. Both are excellent games.

I have LB2 US for the DC, and one thing that iritates me about it, is the sound. It sounds like they did some heavy upsampling on it; it has this high pitched whine to the voices/sound effects, more so than anything the cart provides.
