awkward thing with my aes

i just popped in magician lord in my aes and when i went to turn it on....nothing came up on the screen(just white snow).....i turned it off.....and you could tell it was getting power b/c i heard the tv make noise (like when you first turn off a nes when its hooked through the av cables) i checked my connections made sure nothing was loose....after that turned it on....nothing again...turned it off...same noise though the tv....made sure it was set to channel 3 not 4 turned it off....unplugged my memory card....plugged it back in...turned on.....turned it off.....plugged the memory card back in...turned it back on...it works.....its been working fine since, but is there something wrong with my aes that i just got today?


btw its not modded in any way

idk....lol...noob when it comes to that...my aes is not modded and i thought you had to have a modded one to use composite video...it works like a charm now....so idk...i thought a lead on the board was broke or somethin....

Yeah, try using composite video. You can use the first model Sega Genesis A/V plug with an Neo Geo AES. Also, in most cases if a Neo Geo hasn't been used in a while it tends to have a hard time kick starting.

that would deff be nice...but i wouldnt be able to stand mono......it just wouldnt seem right hooked into my sound system...ill stick to the rf switch till i have a chance to either mod it myself or get someone to mod it

It's big time ghetto but you can always hook a cable to the headphone jack at the front of the Neo to tap stereo until you get your system modded.

Question! Do you have a TV that can do S-video or better yet, Component video (Red, Green and Blue RCA looking plugs for the video.)? If so, the Neo Bitz or J-Rock is a good way to go. You will get much more enjoyment out of your Neo Geo for the small price of minor mutalation from its factory condition and some cash. Still composite is way better that RF, ouch I don't even use my NES on RF.
