Ooo thats spicey. I'd say do a 2nd chance offer to the next highest bidder, then file a non-payment claim with ebay. They'll refund the fees for the auction.

Best of luck... gotta love those deadbeats.

Once you do the second chance option to go to the next highest bidder, does that lock out the deadbeat bidder from the feedback option since they are no longer purchasing from you?

You have to complete the non-bidder steps for ebay to delete the transaction out of the system. Once a refund of fees has been issued, you can no longer leave feedback on the transaction.

Also, when you do a 2nd chance offer, you can only offer it to the next highest bidder at the amount they were outbid at. For example, if I bid $50 on an item, and was outbid to say $55, I would only be able to get a 2nd chance offer for $50. Its a great feature if the top bidder was a deadbeat snipper and won by like $1-$2. It gets ugly when the next highest bid is a $10+ difference tho.

Also, the banned bidder list is a lovely feature in ebay. Anytime I have someone that decides not to pay, they get added to the list instantly.

Good luck,
Bill

PS: You can do a 2nd chance offer while doing the non-payment claim. You dont' need to wait for the claim to go through.
