Hello, I have the dreamcast one and its very good. I want to know if the AES version is a lot better and worth paying £300 for.
Thanks.

well im surre other people have an opinion too, but as for me and the people i spoke to.There are these kind of subtle yet significant differences.

I also feel the aes sprites are slightly larger.

And I definetly see a lowering in animation on my favourite character khushnood butt.

And the voices don't always play at the right time... some of the sound effects are off on the DC version. Still it is a pretty good port of the game. I would say if you love it (I bought it on MVS for $250 eons ago... thats a lot for me and MVS games wink then you may want the AES version, but if you are happy with the DC version... like I said, it is a pretty good port and you aren't really getting $500 or so more dollars of game out of the AES cart,

From what I played in my one sitting, I couldn't see anything different from both versions. Then again, I haven't had the chance to sit down and analyze everything like most people who own it here. However, I was listening for the off-time voices because I heard them mentioned on this site, and I didn't find any (perhaps they're random?). In any case, if you have to sit down and look for them, that should tell you that they really aren't a big deal (at least to me). The DC version sells for what? $25? Well worth it, I think :)

The DC version is missing some frames of animation, but it kinda makes up for it by running in 640x480 through the VGA box...very nice. I think it might also eliminate the slowdown that happens during simultaneous top moves and such. If you HAVE to have an authentic neo version and you had an MVS board, I'd just say get a new bios for the board and get the MVS cart. However, since you're talking about the home cart, there's no way that it's worth it to spend $500 more just for better animation and poorer video output (which is the case unless your AES is RGB modded).

The main thing I notice is that the DC version doesn't fill the entire screen up. There are black bars on the sides. blow_top
