hi i just got my unibios 2.3 :) thanks RAZ!!!.... a must have!..
well i was hoping that unibios will help me to find some problems i had with my mv2f playing only one of 3 games....
the games are

neo geo cup 98'
samurai S 3
sengoku 3
all originals, not bootlegs, cleans and working in my friend MV1.

on my MB:
i always can boot neo geo cup, but sengoku 3 and SS3 give me reboots or green screens with garbage sprites, SS3 did work once and always loads the NEO-GEO 330mega intro with FBI warning, then it reboots... sengoku 3 always green scren with garbage, i have cleaned it checked the slots.... then i receive my UNIBIOS

i did a crc check on the carts to see what could i find.....
-------------------------------
neo geo cup:
ROM REGION: -OK-
ROM BANK 0: -OK-
ROM BANK 1: -NOT USE-
ROM BANK 2: -NOT USE-
ROM BANK 3: -NOT USE-
------------------------------
it plays fine 100%

for SS3 and sengoku i get this error:

ROM REGION: -OK-
ROM BANK 0: -OK-

then when it seems its going to read bank 1 it resets the system.. anyone knows what does read or stores bank 1... i really dont know too mucho about the process around... but seems something around the MB with the function to read specifics banks... maybe im talking crazy... too nooby in this subject...
bothgames works on another >MB without problems, just to remember.

thanks any help will be welcome.

Try reseting your backup ram, it fixed mine. Boot the board with no game and follow the prompts.

already did it... didnt work :(....
i just ckeched again with CRC and it reboots before ROM BANK 0 not 1.. for both... SS3 and sengoku 3, the region always gives me OK and it reboots.
the only difference i see with for example neo geo cup and SS3 is their internals.

SS3 uses C1 to C8 chips, M1, S1, V1, V2, P1 SP2 chips.
neo geo cup 98 uses: C1,C2,M1,S1,V1,V2,P1 chips.

So maybe it has to do with the SP2 or C3+ chips, what does SP2 do?, what component in the MB reads it?...

The problem here is going to be with the SLOTs on the mobo I think. The ROM banks simply store game data.
