name your favorite and worst game intros

best intros in no specific order

Blazing Star - just a word "Wow" when i first saw the intro i was like, is that cgi ? very cool intro and nice music

Last Blade 2- what can i say ? one of the best intros of any game on any system
fab job SNK ! the music is pure class too

K.O.F. '98 - cool intro, very fast paced and has the best intro music of all K.O.F.s that song is just so catchy

Real Bout 2 - short but sweet 2 different intros, they're well made even tough they're extremely short

Kabuki Klash -very nice animated intro,shows nicely the characters

Worst intros

Samurai shodown 4 - ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......

Art Of Fighting 3 - awful lame intro, lame character design

Crapcom Vs SNK -awful leave it to crapcom to make the lamest intro

of course you already mentioned Blazing Star, which tops the list. KoF 98 is also excellent for the intro, whough I wish the Iori art was better. He looks really gay. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

i also like the 96 intro.. pretty cool.

and last id say the falling pendant LB2 intro..
always has me staring...

cant think of many bad ones right now...
but i kinda disagree on the AOF3 one...
i think that ones pretty good.

I agree with somebody in here shouting out Fatal Fury 3 (my fave Fatal Fury game ever).

...But...

...You guys oughtta check out the intros of Samurai Shodown 64 and 64 II as they are art magic of WOW-ness!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/drool.gif" border="0">

Definitely Blazing Star. I couldn't believe I was watching the Neo-Geo display this kind of quality. After watching it, I could not imagine the amount of work, let alone the memory it took to make and insert that intro onto the cart. Absolutely stunning.

the intros of PS of Tekken 2 and Tekken 3
KOF 2000 and KOF 1998 and the intro of PS of Wild Ambition were fun of see.

Fatal Fury 3 and Blazing Star are the hands-down winners on Neo-Geo.

As for worst intros... I'll come back when I've thought of a couple.

KoF 98 (what Leona said)
Last Blade 1 & 2 (simply amazing, but 1's demo was too short <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">)
Garou: MotW (simply sugoi <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">)
Waku Waku 7 (it fits the theme so damn well)
Twinkle Star Sprites (see WW7)

Lame intros:
..... I have yet to see one that I'd consider really lame. Lucky me.

Do I detect a hint of bias here? Looks like someone is an SNK fanboy/girl. Hey, drop it. IMO, KoF 99's intro is lame (but not too lame), but you don't see me saying "Wow. SNGay sure know how to make an intro <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">". Really, some people... <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

I say Garou MotW. It has the best animation. It even looks sometimes like a Movie.

Last Blade has this awesome pencil-drawed Setsuna animation. Also worth a nomination!

SS1 would have to be my all time favorite just cuz i remember when the game first come out on the neo arcades and i seen it i was like drawn to it. I just remember seen that and i was like wow samurai's and shit <IMG SRC="smilies/drool2.gif" border="0"> lol.
I like the KOF 99' intro on PS (never played the neo geo verison of KoF 99' yet so don;t know if its the same LOL)

the only one i hate is probly that crappy game cyber-lip the game just looks really boring and stuff when u see it ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Ninja Gaiden 1 has one of the coolest intos ever. Not many of todays games can compare to that game in the story-telling department.

KOF98 for the dreamcast definately. I love the animation, only wish it was a whole movie.

I favor some of the older games:

I thought King of the Monsters had an excellent intro for the time (the giant footsteps slowly getting closer).

NAM-1975's intro set one hell of a mood: "A nightmare awaits me"

I remember my jaw dropping to the ground when I saw Samuari Shodown's intro for the first time.

Fatal Fury 2 also has a groovy intro: "And Now Legendary Men Return..." (my favorite in the series)

At first I was hoping for a bit more on KOF 2k's intro, but after a while I started loving it.

Magical Drop III had a fun and appropriate intro.

Double Dragon, while so-so overall, still earns a special honor for having a badly digitalized clip from the movie (featuring the T-1000 Robert Patrick).

Bad intros?

I don't tend to remember them.
