I just got done building one exactly like you describe, its in my signature. I would do it again but it was a pain having the holes drilled by a machine shop, but the body shop did a great job and only charged me $20 for the paint job. Anyhow they aren't hard to make yourself, you just need alot of patience and alittle time. I even went through the hassle of securing all the wires and making each set of wires disconnectable with plugs in case i ever need to work on it with the lid off. Most people just toss the wires inside the unit instead of zip-tieing them and hot gluing them to the chassis. Anyhow i just took cues from all the cmvs i liked and sorta put them all together. Didn't turn out too bad imo

Edit button expires after a certain amount of time passes since the original post. It can be annoying sometimes.
