It appears that one of my recent purchases from Yanton had me puzzled.

I bought a few titles.

1 being Metal Slug 4 and another was KOF 2003 However after all the talk about boot copies I took a look inside.

They looked alot like these 2...

However instead of it being made in in Japan it said...
Made in Korea on the board.

Did Playmore or SNK have any boards made in KOREA?

Also Several of the Chips are numered similar to a legit copy....
chips say....mega enterprise 263-p2 , or 263-v2 , Back board has several standard chips that are 263-c1. They look alot like the Toshiba chips im used to seeing

I am familiar with the MX chip issue however I never read or have seen anything about Boards made in KOREA.
Every other board Ive ever seen says
made in JAPAN on the board.
Also the cartridge has a slightly textured surface instead of the smooth finish commonly seen with carts.

Any one know whats up?

Thanks in advance

sound problems

now the games sound is going in and out and numbers are popping up on the screen occasionally.

Metal Slug 4: fighting the boss sound will drop off about 20 seconds before boss is defeated every time I play it.

Watch out guys. Are there new Bootlegs hitting the market?

Game is like new so we cant blame dirty connectors here.
Game is seated properly too.
Same thing everytime.

Any Suggestions? Are these Korean Boards Legit?

(for those who arent sure what im talking about)
Im referring to the White Screen Printing on the bottom.
Where it normally says Made in Japan. Its saying Made in Korea.

I did some research and Playmore moved its Headquarters to
Korea if I understood correctly.

Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

KOF2003/MS4 Boots

What is the actual Colour of the Cart label for KOF2003 and does it have a serial number on it.
Non-Legit carts for MS4 have been in existence for quite a while now and on first appearance look quite Legit.

Have just checked 2 Authentic KOF2003's I have for you and both of these carts show the SNK Playmore Logo in white on both boards in the carts.

The Top Board is Reference. Neo-MVS PROGBK3S copywrite SNKPLAYMORE 2003 Made in Japan.
The Lower Board is NEO-MVS CHAF10 Made in Japan copywrite SNKPLAYMORE 2003 2003.7.24

Hope this helps
