you jump off the boat,
kill those 6 frogs

if you tear down the wall on the far right

you will be taken inside a temple

there are some tough monsters inside

( its NO short cut though ! )

so im here and im thinkin

is that the only "hidden area"?

just wanted to add something...

level 5 boss is a cheap motherfucker

and i hate it soooooo much when you're in the middle of your 20 hits combo and the boss is about to die

and one of those little helpers of him fuckin hit you and the boss counters your combo and kills you

fuckin sends me mad

so far,
i think falcon and kurenai are the best fighters

the haohmaru clone is pretty good too

the 2 extra chars are quite shit in my opinion

but i like okuni cos shes bouncy

thats all for now

ah,
biggest combo?

personally,ive reached 39

laters guys

I haven't found any others yet.

Course, I haven't beaten the boss on level 4 yet either...

Oh, and I agree with you about the characters. The original four are MUCH better than the two extra ones.

I mostly use Falcon and Kagetsura (Falcon is "Da Shitz" ).

Kurentai is a little too weak for my taste, and Kongoh, while powerful, is a little slow for me.

thats the only "hidden" area then?

bummer

theres a door in level 5

tried so many times.......

level 4 boss is not difficult

just dash and jump a lot so you're always BEHIND him when he shoots

and then you can start the combo

hey

No, I think that's pretty much it, though in the first part of the Japan stage (when you're on the building with the girders) and you jump off the ledge, just as you're falling, you'll see a girder sticking out to the right with a big flowerpot on it. I've been trying (not very hard, admittedly) to figure out a way to get to the flowerpot, if for no other reason than to smash it up.

Yeah... I thought it was pretty cute!

I was hoping for some more "guest appearances", but no such luck so far...

That's actually pretty easy. As soon as you kill the last baddie, move up to the upper right corner and jump up onto the girder that's sticking up from the ground. You won't be able to move to the right until the screen starts scrolling, but as soon as it does, jump down and hit the palm tree with a few good swings of your weapon to destroy the pot. You'll get what looks like a timer mechanism which you can then grab for 10,000 pts.

You've got to be quick though, otherwise your character will automatically leap back to the building top and jump down off (without ever having picked up the item).

Nothing is hidden, during stage 5 two different sign "GO >>" will appear on the screen and you can either continue on your right or jump in a hole to get the different path.

Thanks for the tip, Simon!

I'll try that next time I get to the U.S.A. stage.

BTW - actually made it to stage 6 last night - boy, even the regular enemies on that level are a bitch!!!

Oh, and Fran, did you notice there's an extra item on the U.S.A. stage? Just before you jump in the hole, there's a plant (or something - don't remember exactly what - might be a barrel). Anyway, if you break that open, there's what looks like a NeoGeo Pocket item.

Just wasn't fast enough to grab it before I was automatically pulled down into the hole, so I don't know how many points it's worth.

I need some help on how to defect the Level 5 and Level 6 Boss with ease.

I have reached Kyoto on one credit (am on the coin-op ... can have credits to spare). But unless I spend loads of coins on the game, it's hard to get by the Timeless Soul (Kyoto Boss) with his flying heads Ultimate Arts !!

Please help .. I am bullish on getting the game completed with at most 3 credits !!

fuuuuuuuuuckin hell

hmmmmmm

thing is

i dont honestly believe i can reach 127

you see

i bought the H C and tried to beat it with the default settings

5 credits,2 lives and difficulty 3

i tried once with difficulty 8 and there are MAAAAAANY more enemies and they take more hits

so i suppose i need to play it on level 8 to reach 127

on level 3

there just arent enough enemies and they die too soon

but still

127.........

whoa

kkekek .... I know it sounds shocking at first but once you get the hang of dashing left to right, and performing a string of hits, it's all that hard. Just more of timing !

the coin-op should be set to default difficulty ... 4 I guess. I could tell you exactly how many bad guys are there in a section of a stage to identify the difficulty
