Hi,
Last year I sold my AES kit in hopes to buy a MVS Neo Candy 29 unit. Well my wife had different plans for the money, well I've finally been able to get around to getting one. So I've begun the hunt to find one and all my old contacts have dried up. Does anyone have any idea as to how I can get one of these units? Thanks a bunch.

Arcade Infinity is a good seller. I bought my Super Neo 29 Candy from them last summer.

Did you travel over to their place and chose
the cab you wanted, or did you just ordered from their
web-site?

I am asking this because I heard is better to
go over and see what you are getting first...

I see that you are from Long Island, so the obviously shipped it to you. How was their packaging, etc?

Also did the cab come with everything prewired for Jama and all you did was plug in your MVS board?

I bought a Neo 29 from A-I a few months or so ago.
Their communication sucks, but other than that everything was cool.
I ordered right off of their website. The cab cam encased in cardboard and saran wrap and there was a sheet of bubble wrap over the front of it.
It was prewired for MVS, completely plug and play.
The stickers on the sides were a little bit scuffed up and the plastic glass housing over the monitor is slightly yellowed.
The only minor bitch I have was the whole inside of the cab had a black film covering everything. It was like something had burnt up in it at one time, but a little elbow grease and a bottle of glass plus and it looks nearly new.
I'm considering getting a Super Neo 29 type II from them, since I was happy enough with my transaction with A-I.

That dartboard over the candy makes me cringe...

Have you hit it yet?

I would get one, but how much do they charge to crate and ship? How much was it to Long Island? Ohio? Just curious! Did it come with a MVS Board in it? Thanks!

It was $162.15 shipped to Ohio. I went to the trucking station and picked it up in Ohio. They wanted another $72 to deliver it to my house.

You do NOT get an MVS board with it. You can pick up a board easily from a member here or from a store such as MD Game Sales
I think A-I sells boards too, I'm not sure if they have any in stock or how their prices are.

hahahahaha no, there isn't any dart throwing for the time being. That's just a temporary spot for the cabs until I get my lazy ass remodeling the basement.

I had my cab ship to my dad's company. Then he used the company's truck to take it home, about 5 minutes drive from work to the home. It was alot cheaper shipping it to a commercial address. They didn't charge me for crate and packaging for some reason. Shipping was $125 from CA to NY. MVS board sold separately.

I bought one through their website. The machine came in near-mint condition with 1 or 2 light scratches. All logo stickers were still intact. Didn't see any paint chipping....Just perfect. :)

I bought two from them site unseen. They were packed exactly like Pestilents'. Same yellowing of monitor cover. Same scuffs and scratches. Mine had cigaret yellow all over it not to mention PACKING TAPE. It took 2 to 3 hours a peice for cleaning and there still not as clean as I want them to be. Theres a little funky wiring going on but they both work great. For the price they are worth it. Communications does suck though. If you could pic it up yourself that would be the best bet. Shipping to a dock in Grapevine Texas was 376.00 for two which was 100 more than their quote.

Now, I have never done this before. When I get a Cab and a MVS Board, does the MVS Board just snap in or something or is there more to the process? I have had Arcade Cabinets before, but never analyzed them, they already had games affiliated with them. Thanks!

The Neo 29 has the rotatable monitor, correct?

If so, I'm buying one of these when I get the chance. Perfect for shmups. :D

can you remove the plastic shield over the monitor? I was thinking you could then take it to home depot and have some new stuff cut to fit back into it.

Another thing,

Why is the Super Neo 29 II more expensive then the Neo 29, especially whent he SN29II only has one controller set on it?

1. Just plug the jamma harness onto the MVS board (correctly) and your set. Plug it in wrong and your screwed.

2. Yes the monitor is rotatable. I have one set horizontal and one vertical. Better have two people to do it though as its a bear to handle.

3. The plastic part that is yellowing is molded a certain shape using white plastic. I dont think Home Depot can help you there. Otherwise yes you can take it off by unscrewing the hinge from the main body.

4. I think it has some sort of mini graphic monitor on top for advertisment purposes that makes it so expensive or maybe thats another one. If not that then its cuz its more rare.

Could you explain exactly what you have to do to rotate the monitor? Does it have some sort of track where you unbolt it and then easily rotate it?
I've been trying to get info on this for awhile, so any feddback would be greatly appreciated.

The Super Neo 29 Type II come with a cool LCD monitor(near the mini marquee display). Arcade Infinity should update their pictures, because those machine come with 2 sticks instead of one.

Definatly not easy unless you can manhandle 75 to 100 pounds while bent over. You have to unbolt 4 nuts that hold it to the main body. Then pull it out about 5 to 10 inches and rotate then put back in over the 4 bolt studs. Then tighten down the four nuts and your done. You have to be careful as the back of the monitor is not incased so you could easily bang up some important stuff pulling it out and stuff.

Well, I go there once in a while... I bought a few cabs from them now... may get another. There stock ranges from incredibly new like to dire and utter crap. It is the roll of the dice. They are very reliable though, I am restoring a Capcom Mini Cute from them now... I am happy with it, but the time and money spent on restoring has been daunting wink Had I known that I would have just got the impress cabinet and made myself happy with it (BUT I LOVE THIS CAB!)

Mine has 2 controllers and all necessary buttons, at no extra charge...Don't know why they used the pic of the 1-player setup.
