It "intrigues" me. It's funny to read how certain gamers react and whatnot... always is.
If it's for a game that I like, more often then not I'll read the tier discussions... so I wouldn't call it useless. Not bad for a good read once in a while.

I tend to be intrigued by that kind of stuff. Sometimes it sparks some real good discussion, like when White (top Japanese MvC2 player) said Sakura was a top 5 character in MvC2.

I hate how scrubs tend to ask for tiers so they know who to pick, though.
