Crossed Swords gameplay question

I've never played this game before, I've only seen pics in brochures and stuff. Is the gameplay similar or just like that of the Arcade game "Dynamite Duke"? If it is I want it because I always liked playing DD.

It's kinda-sorta like Dynamite Duke (Or Punisher on the NES - LOVED that game!), only Crossed Swords doesn't have you shooting guns, only swinging swords.

Think of it as dynamite duke without a gun, and in a midevil (sp?) setting, and there you go.

Be prepared to spend a LOT of time on this one though - you have to have incredible reflexes in order to get the timing on the dodging and blocking down correctly.

Has anyone actually beaten this game on the default credits, and without using a memory card?

OK, this sounds like a game that I would definetely like. I appreciate games with unique ideas as long as they're fun, and this sounds like its extremely fun. Thanks
