How the #^%&$@ do you beat King Lion?!

So I pulled out Kizuna Encounter today...

Haven't played it in months and... I'd forgotten what a cheap bastard King Lion can be! <IMG SRC="smilies/veryangry.gif" border="0">

What's up with this guy?!

Granted, I don't play the game very often (probably because the last two bosses can be such a pain), but I think I've only ever gotten by this guy twice in the two years or so I've owned this, and I've never beaten the crow character you fight afterwards, even with setting the game on the easiest level! <IMG SRC="smilies/crying.gif" border="0">

So, anyone got any tips on taking out this guy? My normal choice of characters are Rosa, Kim, Eagle, Hayato or (normal) King Lion.

Yes, finally beat the game today!!!

I was using a the team of Rosa and Mezu (the blue ninja, right?).

And actually, King Lion was a piece of cake - he seems to be a sucker for Rosa's "jump + down C" move; got past him without even breaking a sweat using almost nothing but that. <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

Now the beast ninja on the other hand...

Let's just say I'm glad I have a memory card! <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Eventually though I was able to pick up onto a pattern with him, and with a bit (okay, a LOT) of luck, I managed to finally defeat him! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
