intermittent boot problem

Anyone ever heard of this?

I have a MV1T single slot board, and occasionally when I power it up, it goes through the usual multi-coloured garbage, but hangs at a green background with some garbage in the lower left corner of the screen. Nothing I seem to do remedies it (re-seating the cart, changing the cart, cleaning the connector, making sure the BIOS is seated properly), it just starts working again after a while.

For what it's worth, I run it on a supergun, not a JAMMA cab, and none of my other JAMMA boards exhibit any boot problems.

Can anyone shed any light on this, or should I start looking for another motherboard?

If I had to say anything I'd say it's not getting enough 5V+power ..Could need to be a bit higher to run it..

I'm not sure if the voltage was too high would it cause that too..(?)

Could be a bad board..

Have you tried other carts..?

Maybe even another Bios Chip..

good idea, I should grab the volt meter from work and check what the supergun's PSU is actually kicking out..

tried different carts, same result until it decides to start working again.

Oddly enough, I was just checking out Razoola's Universal BIOS, it looks the business ;)
