Trust me on this. It's a shame this game is flying under the radar (Gamestop/EB didn't even have it until a week after the actual release), as it's yet another music/puzzle fusion-thing from Q?, and it's very good (better than Every Extend Extra, in my own damn opinion).

I got the PSP version, which is much like EEE and Lumines I/II in that it has a strong techno vibe and trippy visuals, while the DS version is supposed to be kiddie in presentation, but have more gameplay options, overall.

Gameplay- I got it last night, and didn't have a goddamn clue what was going on at first (instruction manuals are for pussies), much like when I first started EEE. But on the third game, everything just kind of started to make sense, and I got in that zone you get in with really good puzzle games... and then the game got way harder and kicked my ass.

Anyway, buy it and love it, best use of $30 I can think of.

I wanted to get this game but I read that it is way too easy. Is that the case?

It also looked like there is some single card multi-player but I am not sure how deep that is. I may still pick this up but between the 360, Wii and all of the other DS stuff I have picked up, I am not sure that I have the time.

Both Gunpey and Every Extend Extra are $19.99 from GS/EB. Time to get these great games.

I rented it on the DS, and wasn't too impressed. Thought the gameplay was kind of limited (you have to wait until each section has a piece to move on). Granted, I didn't play it a whole lot or keep it that long.

PSP version seems more in line with Qs other releases. I'll have to give it a try.

Seeing as how I only own a DS and that version looks like shit, I'll unfortunately have to pass.
I wonder how similar both versions are to the WS original.

Game is crazy fun. Been playing it more, and I can say with certainty that it's NOT too easy.

Try the 10x10 mode if you want to be humbled quickly.

It's pretty amazing how much depth there is to it, too- there are tons and tons of ways to explode lines.

Well, I picked this up today and I will try it out tonight if I have the time.

I hope it is good or it looks like I will be taking a trip to Colorado.;)

While I'll most likely get the PSP ver I have to say I do like the DS cover over the PSP's, just something about a green haired dude with a guitar

Well, I played my DS version today and it is pretty good. It is a quality game, with some good options, single card multi-player play. Also the cover art and instruction manual (which is in color) is nicely done.

As for the game, it is pretty simple to get into. If felt a little limiting in the sense that there is no way to move pieces right or left. So, although you can bump up the board to bring pieces up, you may still end up waiting for a piece in a certain row. That took a little of the strategy out of it and made it feel more like luck. (Maybe I am missing something here though) I also found my self just moving the stylus up and down (like in Meteos) if things got hectic (which was rare) and connecting rows that way.

I did like the music and thought that it fit the game nicely. I also like that on each stage your sylus makes an instrument sound as you move the piece. That really added to the music feel of the game. There is an option to use buttons but I can't imagine playing a game like this without the stylus. I am guessing it works though, since it is out on the PSP.

It took me about 18 mins to beat the game and that unlocked one of the many hidden characters. There are some other modes as well. There is also a music creation mode that allows you to make music and save it.

Overall, very nice game but I see why it received the scores that it did. (Most scores were in the 6 range) I would rate it a little higher but I have not played it enough to really see if there is more depth here or not. Also, the multi-player, if good would add a lot to this.
