Hey whats up everyone,
I've swapped quite a few CPS3 batterys successfully. Of all the cartridges that did, none had the sub PCB and 3 wires. I have a SF3: New Generation cartridge that does have the 3 wires, and needs a new battery ASAP. The method I use to swap batteries is not the helper battery method. I remove the cartridge shell, and opperate while the CPS3 is powered on. I've had 100% success rate so far.
Anyhow, my question is, if I'm changing the battery in SF3: NG, can I disconnect the black wire if the CPS3 is powered on? I know the no-wire cartridges will not suicide if the battery is removed while the CPS3 is running, is this the same for the sub-pcb cartridges with the 3 wires? If this method will not work, then I will just use the one outlined on CPS2shock.
Thanks for any info,
Bill
