Okay I have another question for you all. I didn't want to put this in with my cab question because its a different topic =P

So i am building a supergun. I have a bunch of extra arcade / sanwa buttons and sticks that are new. I am trying to find a plan on line for making a controller box but I cant find one any where.

So does any one out there have any plans for a box and what type of wire and pins i should use to make the controllers? I plan on making a 6 button controller so does that mean I need to buy a kick harness as well? Any help here would be awesome.

Okay, I can help you!

As for box plans, its really up to you! Its how you want to box. I can get you plans for a single player, or double player box as you reply. Bust as for other parts, read below.

buy about 18-20 guage stranded wire. This is good for beginners! If you want to have a box that opens up, then you will need a hinge, and a wire bus so that you don't rip out any wires. If you know how to solder, you should be fine. Do you know how to wire a controller? I can also help with that. If you have all sanwa controls, they are good, but not usually good for wood. Are they they screw in kind? Or are they snaps? Snaps, you will need a thin top for your box. Sorry for all they questions, but I need the questions to get you fully hooked up. The best connection for a stick is a simple db-15 cable. The plastic ones are great for plugging directly into the board, but they get tourn up if you plug them into a superguns metal connections. If you need a pre-made cable for db-15 connection, I can send it to you for cheap, I have like 3 left. I can also send you a spool of wire for cheap as well, just so that it makes your job easy. I have everything to make a supergun, if you need anything, just pm me with a list, or if you dont know, I can show you a list of what you would need, and you can just reply back with check on what you need. Just reply to this thread with answers, and Ill see what you can do. It could probably be alot nicer/easier if you find a nice tupperware box to use for your controller. Another "GREAT" Option is to mod an old style aes stick. 1 because they look nice, and 2 because they are trustable, and 3 because they are small and light. Wood boxes aren't too great when you play all night with the controller on your legs. Well I'm glad to help you.

I can also make you a stick if you are interested in no laybor. I'm cheap, and I can do a professional job, I just need to know kind of what you want...

Okay well the sticks I have are the screw in kind. I want to make a 10 button controller. 8 for play and 2 for start and pause. I have the power supply with a jamma harness already hooked into it and ready to go. It has all the wires. I just need a video board witch i found one on ebay that my friend got and the picture quality through s-video is amazing. I plan on making or having some one make 2 separate sticks. I am hooking up 2 ports into my supergun case for 2 controllers. How much would the pre done cables cost? Also how much would it cost for me to send you all my buttons and controllers and have you make them for me? Thanks a bunch for all you help. This is my first supergun and I want it to look and play nice.

Well, i can give you 3 cables, and wire if needed for like 7 bucks plus shipping. If you need pics ask. I can also just sell you the chords for like 2 bucks a piece. I just try to make a deal on all cables and wire because I dont want them any more. To have me make you a stick would prolly cost arround 30 bucks a piece shipped. And how ever much money it costs for you to ship your buttons. This is included laybor, wood, nails, glue, and time. I Can give you pics as to what it will look like if interested, or I can try and make you some plans. My suggestion if you have sanwa buttons is to buy old aes sticks, and mod them yourself. I can send you picture of everything you need to do including detailed descriptions. If you like that Idea, and want me to mod the sticks, you can send them to me, and I will do laybor for free, just route of shipping. I am making a few aes sanwas sticks myself, so no problem throwing in a couple extras.. wire and everything... would be free. its only like 3 wires anyway, but its up to you. I don't want you to force yourself to it, but its up to you
