slug x and 3 prob. i have to set my buttons config everytime i play

everytime i try to play either of them i have to set my buttons prior to playing. otherwise they wont work when its time to start shooting. when i accsess the option menu, its always set to free play, its always on easy and every command is always already set to A. i dont know why. ive tried to reset the button settings and then save after dying but it doesnt work. everytime i switch a game or reboot its the same thing. ive never had this problem before and i just recently bought both of these games from the same seller and i think they are the only ones i own giving me any issues. except for my metal slug 2 which for some reason i cant get red blood. i think that also came from the same seller, but thats a whole nother issue. im just sick of reseting my buttons everytime i wanna play. can any one help. thanks in advance

What are you playing these games on....What's the set-up..Bios?

yeah a 4 slot with bios. i dont fully understand it though...

and if it is a dead mvs board battery is there a way to fix it? thanks

You probably have a unibios. This is a known problem and its easy to fix. Simply read through the unibios known issues for how to get the buttons to save (www.universebios.com).

This problem is due to the game not expecting to run in console mode on a MVS and thus does not save the buttons to backupRAM.

If the battery is dead then you'll have to set up the data everythime you play as already mentiond. You can get around this also by simply making sure you set the unibios to console mode directly from power on each time (before you allow any game to run). Then the keys will be set correctly (thebackup ram has to be clear for this to work which it should be if the battery is dead from power on).
