KOF 96 cart goes straight to test menu

this is a yaton cart, but I have cleaned the crap out of it.

I just recently got a controller to play all my mvs games, and yesterday when I booted up this cart it worked for about 5 mintues, then all of a sudden it goes into test menu, and now everytime I turn it on it goes straight to the test menu and won't do anything different.

I looked it over, and i'm pretty sure it's not a boot. Also this only happens with this cart. All my other carts work fine.


if someone could help that would be great. I can take pics too if need be.

what do you mean by controller?

I had a genesis controller modded for neo.

Could be a hard dip stuck in a certain position or the cart may be dirty(Yaton Surprise).

couldn't be a hard dip issue though, because it only happens with this cart.

and I have done very thorough cleaning. eraser technique and all.

nothing really strikes me weird there.

Legit....

Try to put the boards in the mobo with them out of the shell..

Look for a broken trace,bad soldering point..Cracked soldering point..


.
I have dead Riding hero that does the same thing..

if I have problems with my carts I wash them with water and terpintine. It fixed a Yaton cart and stopped it having this graphics glitch that wouldnt go away even after using a rubber or sandpaper.
